Here in Minnesota it's good to get a carwash like that so you can spray salt off the undercarriage where most people cant reach.

I hate living in this state in the winter. I have such a flaming hatred for rust though both my cars are victims.

Finally got to see new Corvettes up close today.

Corvette Stingray Coupe ($61,000)

Corvette Stingray Convertible ($66,000)

God damn.

Do they have hard top convertibles?

Do they have hard top convertibles?

I'm pretty sure.  Haven't really paid attention to all the variations that don't have to do with performance actually.

I don't think they have any hard-top versions that automatically lower the roof yet, but iirc the roof on the standard one is removable

Really? That's still pretty awesome.

I'm still considering a C7 even though it's way over my budget. Damn they're beautiful...

I made a huge mistake today. I brought my car to a normal drive through car wash. I don't wanna know how badly they scraped my undercarriage trying to get my car onto the track, and at one point my car got stuck inside because my tires are fatter than what that machine was designed for and the person had to give it gas to drive up onto the railing around the track that pushes the car forward. Damage report: 1 cracked bumper.

The wash gonna do anything about it?

I doubt it, the crack is pretty minor and I don't want to engage them in a lawsuit over it.

However, on the good news side, my dad is now the proud owner of a brand new Porsche 911 Carrera. I'm pissed because they didn't have any manual transmissions in stock, so my dad just said forget it and went with their PDK transmission. It's whatevs though I guess, it's still a super nice car and I can't wait to drive it.

It took all my reserved strength to not make jokes about this.

I'd like to own one of these someday:

And maybe when I'm in my grandpa's age, I'd like to own this:

Saw a black Ferrari early today, and I was actually outside when I saw it, so I got to hear it. It was just the perfect sound (almost), not too loud, not too quite. I didn't bother taking a pic because the camera on my iPod is crap and if I want to see a picture of a Ferrari, I should just go google it.
