i disagree. it's more like this:
if you buy a sandwich and your friend eats it, but the manager of the shop is a magic wizard who can restore your sandwich at no cost, why shouldn't he restore the sandwich, other than that he wants you to buy a new one?

i'd understand your decision better if he had done something worse, like posted research or trap links. but posting a leaving post is victimless. of course, it's attention whorey, which is why it's bannable, but we have strong evidence that it was a friend of his, and even you seem to agree that it was his friend, based on the brown townogy. to me it seems he's been punished for nothing, and rather than rectify the situation, you're asking him to pay another $20 if he wants to continue on the forum, despite that to unban him would be relatively easy for you.
This. So much this. Though I wouldn't even say that his friend ate the sandwich, he just stole it briefly and the shop owner is snatching it away from both of them for some reason, instead of just the guy who briefly stole it, and telling the guy who bought the sandwich in the first place to buy another one instead of just telling him to keep a closer eye on it.

i have a feeling badspot won't change his views on this because he doesn't want to show that he was wrong

how was he wrong, it was his own fault he left his account vulnurable

look at ultimamax's post, it's kind of like the rest of the class staying in for recess cause one kid threw a pencil (even though its only one other person) i mean who expects their friend to type that out

Besides, if he needs to buy a new key it also means profit. Why would badspot unban him then :cookieMonster:

ye did you miss
he left his account vulnurable
??

ye did you miss ??
Except it was in his own home.

Its like if I robbed someones house, took their gun, killed someone and got away scot free while the home owner was thrown in prison because the gun was too vulnurable.

Plus again its something that can easily be reversed with not much extra work.

pretty much this.

your brown townogies wont save anybody, guys.

yeah we all know badspot made a wrong call, but he isnt going to change his mind.

I don't think badspot ever repealed a ban like this.
Then again, I could be wrong.

If you buy a sandwich and your friend eats it, you are not entitled to a free sandwich from the sandwich shop.  Your friend owes you a sandwich.

AromaniaFTW's "friend" consumed his forum account.  AromaniaFTW's friend owes him $20.

why the hell is it that when badspot replies somebody has to quote him saying i laughed or bla bla bla

Way to run an brown townogy right into the ground.

I don't know why people are arguing this - rules are rules. If he left his computer logged into his share trading site and his friend bought a bunch of stuff you can't just ring the stock market and get the money back. Learn to lock your computer or suffer the consequences - call it a life lesson at the low price of $20. I stand by my ban.

because people think everything is 1000x funnier if it's said by badspot

if someone else said that i doubt there'd be as much "omg my sides xD"

Except that caused a large loss of money. Where in this case the banned action didnt harm anything besides taking your time to lock, move and ban him.

Not sure why it is a huge deal to unban him. He was too annoying, stupid or unhelpful and it seems like people either had no opinion on him or liked him.

He wasnt*

Plus he didnt rage quit, post research/gore/NSFW, threaten anyone, a real "plea for sympathy", claim to pirate anything.
