I'm noticing that all these people actually believed me that spiders crawl in your mouth while you sleep. Even though I added the "This is a myth" to my post.

Before realizing she was dealing with dozens of Brazilian wandering spiders (AKA banana spiders)

what? banana spiders are non-aggressive orb weavers that are as harmless as they are terrifying

And I normally kinda like spiders...

Anyway, there's not actually anything Sainsbury's or anyone else can do about the spiders.
They just simply have to hope they're picked up when the bananas are packaged in Brazil. After they're put on their boats they simply get emptied from crates and put into shops.

Try again.

(not to be confused with the relatively harmless Nephila)

we get funnel web spiders come into the house sometimes, which is fine because they're big enough to catch and get rid of

it's worse having a pool in this area because they like to sit on the bottom underwater and go for your feet

piiiccctuurrree!

I always find loving enormous spiders during this time of year after my pool is drained and all gross.

Have fun

poor spider

if he bites the hand then he's sure to get crushed to death

if he doesnt bite the hand, he might get crushed anyways

he has no control over the situation and his actions are completely meaningless to whether he lives or dies

;-;

I remember hearing somewhere that the average human being eats roughly 6 spiders in their sleep every year.
