...then you pull "maps made blockland better" out of your ass. Again, they don't magically "improve" anything. They're a nice backdrop, but they're ultimately unnecessary. If you're relying on a map (specifically interiors, not sure on terrain since they seemed less common) to "improve" your build, you were probably a mediocre builder in the first place.

think of blockland on steam; looking at the store page you would see low-quality maps in screenshots and the end user would probably back out because it looks like the game is from 2002

You're saying that the removal of terrain was because of looks? Where's the game in gameplay?

I feel like maps added childlike wonder to the game. Making everything feel so surreal and like the builds were made of plastic.
Was neat, but the game is much more practical now.

and ever since V21, what have we gotten for updates?
a Ton of RTB mods ported into the full game
a few bug fixes.

Not much really, but hopefully we will actually see something to prove that removing maps was for the best when BL is on steam.
But if we don't then there really wasn't much of a point in removing them if we aren't really going to get any Major updates coming out.

that was the face of blockland. It was iconic, Its not as if blocklands grapics are out of this world anyhow

seriously the maps looked like stuff from one of those low-quality simulator games.

Stop whining about it. Maps were fun, and when they removed them, they took away some of the best features of Blockland, but it's the developers choice how the game goes, not yours. All this general friendry about maps isn't going to help guys, get the forget over it.

There hasn't been an update since May. The only updates planned are related to Steam.

Stop whining about it. Maps were fun, and when they removed them, they took away some of the best features of Blockland, but it's the developers choice how the game goes, not yours.
