I mile is just a little over a block. Not hard at all.

Don't bother taking food (seriously wtf).
Last I checked 1 mile is 20 blocks

when i did mine i got like 6:45 i didn't stretch or drink water, either. it wasn't hard at all.

if you're black, you don't even have to try

In through your nose, Out through your mouth.
worked for me c:

am i the only one that's required to do a mile every week!?

wrong. 12 city blocks, roughly.

It actually depends on where you live if I remember correctly.

Back in high school, I ate peanuts before the mile run once, but I'm not too sure if it actually makes you run faster. Best bet is to not eat anything at all. The food being digested in your stomach will make you suffer during the run.

Try breathing with your nose only, like a boxer. It slows down your heartbeat and calms down your body, which works a little like a diazepam.

Or you could just pop a valium and get the real stuff right to the heart.

jog the whole thing
the first two laps are hard, but then you'll feel like your walking on air. At that point, if you stop you'll crash horribly so then you sorta have to keep going from there

If you want a better mile time, you can rush it when you're halfway down towards your final lap. It's a risk you can take, but it's probably worth it.
