Planr, like dude, the server doesn't exist anymore

let it go
i know man but i just want everyone to understand

We changed name for a couple of reasons, planr quit for reasons and made a new faction with the same name to piss everyone off, and I don't exactly know what happened with sev other than that I'm partially responsible.
I wanted to play with you guys, but none of you were willing to give me a ride to your base. Planr wanted me to drive the entire 70-minute journey (covered in like 6 minutes by warp-drive) as some kind of test of dedication even though I'd already played with you guys on another server. Eventually, I got someone else in the faction to give me a ride to your base, but Planr refused to add me to the faction. At that point I just cut my losses and left lol.

Maybe next time.

Comr4de ordered me to boot you from the faction because of your constant arguing, which is why I would not reinvite you.

Everyone else grinded their way to the base just fine without any problems, but yet you come along and whine about how it's "illogical" and "a waste of your time" to do what everyone else did, thinking you're entitled to special treatment. This "test of dedication" is no test at all; it's just a simple matter of mining for a few resources to build a jump drive with, and then you're done. Instead of doing anything productive you decided to waste the next half-hour arguing with me about it (and by the time you gave up on arguing, you could've already been well on your way to getting to the base).

I know you said you "did the math" and supposedly "proved" it would be faster for me to pick you up, but trust me when I say those numbers never play out in actual practice (due to lag, plus a bug with warp drive not activating when clicked and requiring multiple recharges for one jump). Furthermore, also because of what I mentioned in the above paragraph.

Still, I know I was a bit arrogant myself about the revisions I did to the base, and I realize that that was wrong, which is fitting then for me having left the server faction. So I guess you and I are in the same bucket.

Regardless, that's all in the past, so it doesn't matter any more. I don't hold it against you any more; I hope the feeling's mutual man. Maybe next time things will go better for both of us.

Yeah that was before I found out he had made it to base in the first place.

I was also busy with IRL stuff at the time so its only natural there was a communication breakdown

So the hours of collecting money for your previous base don't count as 'grinding'? I feel like donating hours of my time to your faction for your own benefit was worth a taxi-ride. I don't see where entitlement plays into this.

I know for a fact that math is not your strong suit, but here's how you calculate the minimum maximum time it takes to get to someone using a warp drive:

( (Distance to be traveled)/(warp drive distance) ) * (cooldown delay for warp drive)

There are no sarcastic quotation marks here. This is just correct. Those factors you listed would maybe change the travel time by a minute at most, which is still 7 minutes versus 70 minutes.

Regardless, I'm not even writing this to persuade either of you to add me back into the faction. I'm setting the story straight that the only reason I couldn't provide you guys with hours of my own time and work is because you wanted me to waste my time as a rite of passage. You chose to turn away someone who wanted only to donate his time to play with a familiar crowd of people, all because you couldn't drop what you were doing for 10 minutes to drive me to your base. With all that considered, it's really not a big surprise that your guys' faction crumbled so badly.

It should only take you like 10 minutes to get a warp drive and a good amount of power cores to get going

the planets around you would've been claimed by then I guess actually so

Was I on when you joined? I would've hopped over to pick you up

unless this was near the end of the month because I was just popping on time to time to help with a couple of things then leave to study for exams

Another guy eventually came online and gave me a ride, but Planr refused to add me back into the faction after kicking me out for 'arguing with him'.

I thought this was the Starbound topic. Lmao

You are welcome to come back though. Comr4de wasn't even aware of the circumstances, only after we found out that you got killed and had your stuff stolen and I say that is pretty good reason to be upset.

seventh come back for me, just me

I'll come play with you guys after February is over with. I've got a stuffload of stuff to do for the next few weeks and won't be able to fully commit until March.
