Out of curiosity, is there any advantage to Marth's bair over is fair? Or are they pretty much the same?

His bair turns him to the direction you are bairing, which can help you edgeguard I guess.
Bair and fair are just different moves for different situations. Bair is slower, fair is faster. They knock the opponent in different ways.

I'll try to re-main Kirby, I used to play with him all the time when I was younger on Smash 64 then Melee (I feel so glad that I was blessed with Smash ever since I was little <3)

Also Captain Falcon of course, you can actually be really fast with him once you master his moves

I have been trying Marth and Lucina. Do any of the Marth/Lucina mains in here have any tips for me?

use lucina first, get used to the play-type and then use marth

other than that, up tilt is a good alternative to up smash if you want to hit a broader area, I have a combo for the dancing blade thats pretty effective when the opposing person has around 0%, neutral, up, neutral, down, iirc the up dancing blade does more damage but if you use two ups, the down wont hit, the down does the most damage because of how many hits it does in general

i mean i've been playing fighting games all my life, i love them. i understand the importance of maining a character. i just think SSB isn't a game where maining is conducive to having a fun time even competitively

mains are important cause if you don't have one you'll have to change play-styles constantly, and I'm pretty sure no one wants to do that
