I am trying it again tonight. I did it before and it was crazy. I showed my friends how to do it and it worked. Please dont try this at home.

This makes you be in your dream and control it as many of you may know.

Will post update when awaken.

okay so im kinda scared now but im gonna keep going. Im hearing noises like my garage door opening.
Having said that more sounds are occuring like my front door opening and i hear footsteps walking.
All of this is making me really scared but i will still go on and fight for lucid dream and its rewards.
Listening to all these noises is really creepy and im getting really sweaty now, ll try to sleep sooon.
Freaky noises and things keep touching me i dont think i can go on but i will.

im awaken now, like literally 3 minutes ago i woke up so here is my dream that i had last night, enjoy.
Let me begin at a carnival/fair place and its the local thingy mabob so i know erryone there and its fun.
I do the normal games and rides and such and then find this crazy girl going psycho killing everyone.
From then on, me and my friend go on this ride and we go off a jump in the ride onto the road down a hill.
Everyone is freaking out because the girl is chasing us and shes all like "ILL KILL YOU" and we are like "AHHH SCARYYY". so anyways the cool part was the falling down a hill was on a busy road and i would jump out and start falling and hitting the road and smashing things. it would just repeat like that down the hill til eventually she was behind us but we stopped by two police cars and they shot this maniac girl like
3 times!

iirc this is done by lying in bed completely still and not responding to the urge to scratch in order to trick your body into thinking its asleep when really you are not?

nO THAT'S HOW YOU GET SLEEP PARALYSIS

I always have lucid dreams when I go to bed and if something goes wrong, rewind and fix it.

I once had a dream that I could save/load my life just like skyrim

nO THAT'S HOW YOU GET SLEEP PARALYSIS

sleep paralysis is a process that your body executes every time you go to sleep so that you don't physically act out your dreams. the 'scary' part that everyone hears about is when one remains conscious during SP. episodes usually last a few minutes before you transition into sleep. it's scary if you let yourself get scared.

anyways, the process op is trying -- that is, going from fully awake to fully dreaming -- isn't recommended because dreams occur during REM sleep, which happens around an hour or so after falling asleep. it's like telling someone to pick you up at 4, and you start waiting for them at 3; it's a waste of time.

Lucid dreaming is a pretty neat thing, though, with a rather large community behind it, so go read up on some stuff if you're really interested. the sidebar at http://www.reddit.com/r/LucidDreaming/ has some good info

it's scary if you let yourself get scared.

i thought it was scary because sometimes you can have hallucinations? and also the sensation of not being able to move despite being conscious?

why

Well, you see... if you lucid dream, there's a 38% chance that you enter the dream yourself and you have to escape a 17-floor dungeon in order to not die.

lucid dreaming has never really worked for me

any tips?

well

yea

maybe i should rephrase. i guess what i was trying to say is that everyone makes a huge fit over sleep paralysis, sometimes making misinformed claims, potentially turning people away from lucid dreaming. yeah, it's creepy cus you can have hallucinations, and you can't move, no doubt, but something like that shouldn't stop someone from enjoying hella rad dream parties, especially if what you're doing doesn't even involve sp
