You know what I would love? If instead of loving up characters "in my opinion" they just made new loving characters. This whole argument would be avoided and we would all be happy.
okay, name 5 new characters from marvel or dc in the past year without using google

you can't, because you don't care

i'm not trying to attack you, but people don't care about new characters. it's really hard for them to get off the ground.

Oh lord Kimon moving the goalpost again after his arguments get shot down one by one
No matter what the intention, changes will attract attention. This is not up for debate.
yeah except sudden drastic character changes are bound to get a little bit more attention. what would get more attention: spongebob being replaced by a pink sponge, or spongebob getting a new tv? two very different changes that attract different amounts of attention.
Other than that you're just an idiot who is scraping the barrel for more stuff to make his argument relevant, while negating all the flaws in your previous arguments.
and you're a condescending richard. seriously i mean every argument you start (COUGH) you're like HA! look at THIS dumbass, am i right? ha! how DUMB is this guy?
1. How many people would this attract/repel from buying our new issues?
2. How can we make the changes in characters flow smoothly
This isn't something they aren't used to considering there was already a black spiderman and the entire world didn't flip their stuff over it and made Marvel exponentially richer. There is proof that your reasoning is wrong.
3. What makes this "gimmick" bad in any way, shape, or form?
are these questions directed at me? you seem to be asking me questions that are not directed at me. except the last one. all i said on the matter is i think marketing gimmicks are stupid. and i mean i stand by that. i think they are pretty stupid.

nice slippery slope btw
So you're saying an asian superhero is just too far outside of the suspension of disbelief?
Now that I think of it, there aren't many asian superheros out there.

Can we have a color blind Asian male rogue and a crippled lady wolverine?
How about a polyamorus aromantic panloveual animist wiccan as the green lantern?

That's basically what they are doing though, making new characters and masquerading them as old ones for attention.

I don't care because I don't like comics for the most part. If I did, I would know about them.

tl;dr wikipedia is the loving best

snowflake man

the playstation 4 is a home video game console best known for its "                    " game series

Ok here's my .02

Idgaf how diverse their characters are, just don't change the race/gender of an established superhero.  Make up a new one.  I wouldn't want wonder woman turning into wonder man. Does that mean I hate men?  No.  I don't want superman turning into superwoman.  Does that make me a misogynist? No.

I'm fine with non white male superheroes, but any time an established character has their gender and/or race changed for no apparent reason, it kindof has a weird, "pro sjw" vibe to it.

I agree with this, I just think that it's kind of stupid to be like "oh this is a thor comic, oh wait, it's not thor at all. whoops, why would I have thought otherwise?"
