hot damn.
i really want to get into drawing my own thing but i dont want to buy stuff for it and i always procrastinate and never do anything and when i do it, i just look at it and think its bad.
what fox said.
plus, and ik this is easier said than done, but just accept the first few drawings aren't gonna be to your liking. mentality is just as important as technical skill, and in the beginning, quantity is more important than quality (for the most part). make a whole bunch of stuffty drawings, get used to things, and you'll find naturally, with time, that you're getting better.
its oft repeated advice, but for a reason -- practice, practice, practice. now of course, repetition is only one part of the puzzle, you still need some book learnins. but that's really no big deal. the internet has more than enough free material for any artist to pick up.
but in the end, you don't get better by thinking, you get better by doing! also, like, hmu if you wanna chat
