M8, Miko and I have lives.  Miko has (iirc) a full-time job/part-time job with schooling, and I have a part-time job with schooling.  On top of that we both have to deal with our families because we each live with them.  Not sure where Miko rests on any further relationships.  I have a dedicated relationship with a girlfriend, so much that I've already bought a ring.  My girlfriend will be leaving in a week, so you will not have to worry about that issue since she won't be back until December.

If you want me to update, then fine.  I understand your complaint, but as mentioned in the rules and guides, please make a complaint in a PM or support email.  Don't be passive-aggressive about it and make drama in the thread.

Aspian defense lines begin to be crushed by Albitonic spearmen, but as the war elephants push forward, the front line cannot keep up.  Albitonic archers begin firing barrages of arrows at the war elephants, causing many of them to fall.  At this point, hyenas are released in desperation.  They cause trouble amongst the ranks of Albitonic soldiers, and allow Aspidis to reorganize and push the Albitonic forces back momentarily.  The hyenas are eventually killed, and the onslaught continues.

A messenger is sent from Albiton to Aspidis.  He carries a note offering peaceful surrender and puppet status.

As the Avalonian messenger rides out to meet the Britonic Army, the leaders accept him and read the note sent out.  The messenger returns with the message from the Britonic king to explain the terms of surrender or puppetry, a momentary ceasefire, and to allow 24 hours to make a decision.

That post was me more or less just loving about, not meant to be taken as a complaint or so in any way shape or form, sorry for the misconception, and neither was it supposed to come off as passive-aggressive. I tend to be much more direct with my complaints.

Aspian forces fight bravely and valiantly, though the significance in arms and numbers is too great for them, and most forces are routed, with others left behind to give the men time to retreat. A rough estimate of nine thousand make it back as they pull back, allowing Albitonic forces to pull back and deal with the pesky farmers that may resist their attempted take over. The remaining war elephants (around 60-ish, broken up into groups of 15) are moved along to take up positions along the path towards the capitol, setting up a ambush that, if encountered, would be launched to directly attack the general of the armie(s), accompanying those elephants are a thousand men. As Albiton delves deeper and deeper, they'll find that peasants are beginning to fight amongst the ranks as wells. Some willing, most not.

A messenger is sent from Albiton to Aspidis.  He carries a note offering peaceful surrender and puppet status.

Aspidis refuses, and the messenger is allowed to leave and return with a note saying that they refuse surrender or puppet status, and that they will fight to their last.

Esposvon begins training militia for all reachable towns and villages, blacksmiths are also encouraged to experiment more with minerals.

A Plexian landing party (unknown to Plexia, obviously) has reached a distant land after some time.  It is Espovon.
We'll see how this goes.
This relates to you Badger.  It was years ago though.  I just want to know how you're handling it.

I didn't realize for a long time how fast the time moves, so my population should have been growing 15 times as fast as it did.  So I'm just gonna do 1 big change and leave it alone.  Nothing too dramatic as it's my own fault I'm behind.

Plexia's population has outgrown its land so the Plexian leadership attempts to purchase large tracts of land from its small neighbors and absorb their people into Plexia.

Request granted.  Quote of initial terms.
Avalonia's terms for their surrender are merely that they accept Avalonian control and that they desist oppressing Avalonians in their lands.  In exchange, Avalonia will cease military action in the region, provide public works projects such as roads, and allow existing nobility to retain a certain level of power.  Avalonia's yoke will be light - these are an honorable people.  There is no dishonor, however, in accepting this defeat - it is better to live in defeat than to leave widows and orphans in defeat.
Avalonian control means that they become a semiautonomous region within Avalonia and will pay taxes like anywhere else in Avalonia and live under the same laws.  Level negotiable.
Stop oppressing Avalonians means treat them as honorable equals.  Nonnegotiable.
Ceasing Military Action is self explanatory.
Public Works means roads and whatever else the people want.
Nobility retaining power means that the nobility swears allegiance to Avalonia and become honor bound, and in return they get to keep their fancy hats and authority under Avalonia.  Level of authority negotiable.

The Britonic nation will agree under two additional terms:

  • The Britonic States will be allowed to sustain a military of at least 7.5% of their population in case of foreign threat.  This branch ov the military will serve under the Avalonian military, but will be able to act on its own if threatened from an outside force.  The Britonic States will also be permitted to raise a militia in times of utter crCIA.
  • The Britonic Government wishes to be represented in a "two-court system."  A higher court for all Avalonian nobles, and the Britonic sovereign, and a lower court for all other Britonic nobles.  The higher court having more influence, and the lower court having less.  (The sovereign king or queen of the Britonic States will have less influence than Avalonian nobles, but still have a seat in the nighter court.  It is negotiable to have the sovereign represented in the lower court.)

Also, Erinaum, from Xianxan, launches ships to explore the coastlines, and islandhops to Varansk.

A messenger is sent to greet the nation.

The first term is acceptable.

Avalonia suggests this alteration to the second term:
One of the members of the Avalonian Council will step down and the Britonic king shall take his place.  His descendants will be strongly preferred for his spot in future, but not guaranteed it.  The Britonic nobles may continue as they have existed, but under the Avalonian Council instead of under the King alone.  It should be remembered that this grants the Britons more representation and simultaneously doesn't divide the land along racial boundaries.

The Britonic States will accept this compromise so long as the king will remain even if he has no power, to be a cultural leader.
