Drug free world is a completely innacurate site. They also claim that weed can kill you. I would suggest not quoting them in the future. I know plenty of successful people that smoke weed on a regular basis, including myself.

What about the 1000 other sites that say weed is safe?

There are findings which suggest that it can be good and it can be bad. No drug is free from side effects. Common sense says however that if you rely on a mind altering substance to feel good then you have a problem.

It's called doing your own research and finding sites that have a factual basis and cited sources to studies, rather than some blatant "STUDIES SAY WEED IS BAAAAAD" and no link to any study.

Weed isn't 100% safe. Inhaling anything other than air, isn't safe. But people go to a downtown city where the air is thick with carcinogens and don't give it a second thought.

When you say you've done your research, we all know that you really haven't. There are many real studies that show there are negatives to smoking weed. One prominent study i once read in a psychology book shows that the minds of regular pot smokers are similar to that of schizophrenics, and this was in an exam board certified text book.

#1 just because I've chosen to smoke weed doesn't mean I haven't done research. I know the risks and choose to smoke.
#2 I'm not even a regular smoker. I haven't smoked in at least a month. Prior to that, maybe once every week, if that.

You waste money, possibly lose a job, and noting that its illegal in most states.

you ruin your life

Not trying to brag here, but I probably make as much money as both your parents combined and I'm 19 and a "heavy drug user." My job doesn't drug test, I don't get high and go to work, and I don't consider buying a gram of cocaine any more wasteful than going on an expensive date.

It's possible to be responsible with drug use.

I never implied that your choice in smoking weed was related to my statement that you haven't done research. I just have a hunch that you haven't done your research because otherwise you wouldn't bother arguing with people who claim there are studies that suggest negative effects of smoking weed.

Ive been arguing against people that say there is nothing but negative effects, not that there are none.

To be honest other than relaxation and becoming more social, it is unlikely that recreational use of weed has any other positive effects.

Ok, do you have any of these medical conditions? Antibiotics cure infections but someone without an infection taking antibiotics don't benefit from them. In fact it is bad for them.

Emphasis on the term *recreational I have used in my previous post.

Sorry, didn't see the recreational part. And of course not, that's why its recreational. It's not particularly healthy if that's all you're using it for, but its not deadly.

It rarely leads to fatalities but overall if you use it to a minimum you can maximise on the fun-side of it while reducing the chance of getting all the negative effects that come from it.
