Seeing as I've "followed" this since it broke (I follow the targets of the harrasment on twitter, I've seen every major "event" in this whole stupid thing), I'm doing the "informing myself" without watching hour long videos by a guy who is against the targets of this 'movement' in the first place.

Then you are biased. You have to look at both sides.

There are ton of different people on the gamergate side you can watch.
