I'm a person.

I treat people like human beings.

A feminist is only female rights, not equal for everyone rights.
that's the drawn conclusion if you identify as a feminist, but that's not the actual definition. ofc that's how words work and you have to be aware of connotations rather than denotation alone. feminism also has a negative connotation these days because of the poor representation given by these 'modern feminists' (though that implies that the feminist movement is now certainly that which has the negative connotation)

which is why i'm not identifying as a feminist, but i am a feminist by definition. i just don't care more so about women than any other person being treated like a human being.

Yeah
I still consider myself a feminist honestly, I just don't align myself with their majority.

i don't think the kind of person you're considering to be the majority is actually the majority

the loudest and most obnoxious voices, of course, but i'm not too sure that it's the majority. the majority in these kinds of things is often much quieter because they don't feel the need to kick and scream at nothing to get their point across, as is expected in rational thought

^this
I grew up with two sisters, and I believe in equal rights for both lovees. But I really don't exactly care what it's called. The loud feminational socialists are really the minority of them.

The label doesn't necessarily matter, what you believe does.

Yeah
I suppose I mean the majority in terms of decibels

The label doesn't necessarily matter, what you believe does.
yeah this is true as well

at what point do we stop assuming that there's some huge, untapped resource of actually good feminists that nobody has found yet

at what point does the "vocal minority" become the only thing anyone can "hear"
personally i would rather be associated with a smaller movement that a movement where the only people representing the movement are god awful
and lets not mention the fact that feminism is extremely volatile towards its male, and in some cases minority, members

however the one exception i know to all of this is christina hoff sommers(summers? whatever) but she's kinda based in the earlier waves of feminism

sure

My sister for example is ok mostly
She doesn't go on rants or anything, she just thinks women should be considered equal
But she doesn't argue about it on social media because it isn't worth it for her

Most people don't publicly argue about their beliefs on the internet.

This is from the International Game Developer's Association (IGDA)'s page called "Online Harassment Resource". The last item on the Mental Wellness and Self-Care list is "A Twitter tool to block some of the worst offenders in the recent wave of harassment".

The tool, called "GG Autoblocker", states that it "takes a list of the supposed ringleaders of GG, looks at their follower lists. Generates a list of sheeple following more than one account" [https://github.com/freebsdgirl/ggautoblocker].

Usage of this tool results in a block of over 10,000 Twitters. An older version is over 15,000. [https://blocktogether.org/show-blocks/5867111278318bd542293272f75147f8fc5931bea431e7ca16e9242964965d66494a6fb68f3518b82f171bcf0e419ccc][https://archive.today/aUPC4]

This tool does not explain how any of these "supposed ringleaders" are harassers, nor does it explain the much more tenuous connection that following more than one of these Twitters makes you a harasser.

Among other notable people on the list, David Pakman and chairman of IGDA Puerto Rico are marked by the GG autoblocker as part of this "recent wave of harassment". [https://twitter.com/siloraptor/status/536044875251474432]

The IGDA has, since this image was made, edited their link to instead read something slightly different, without changing or addressing the gaping chasm in logic. There's also now a huge disclaimer at the top, which has apparently changed a few times and continues to morph, so they acknowledge that there's a huge gaping chasm in logic with this autoblocker, but refuses to directly address it, and it remains up on their website.

If you're thinking "Who cares about the IGDA?", the point is not the IGDA. The point is, "Why don't video game journalists write about this, or anything that's really happening in the series of events / community we refer to as GamerGate?"

As a member of the IGDA, this stuff pisses me off since it makes me look bad when I have nothing to do with the autoblocker.

Good God, this is argument is still going on?...
