Galaumia has finally finished negotiations with The New Conservative Party. This is the outcome:

The Galaumian Assembly will be divided into 2 levels. House of Nobility and House of the People. House of the People will be representatives decided by citizens of Galaumia. House of Nobility will be the 11 Noble Families leaders. Bills are introduced by the House of the People. They are voted upon in House of the People, where if successful, they will go on to the House of Nobility. If successful there, it will finally go by the king, who will either approve or deny it. House of Nobility can veto anything by House of the People by a 60+% vote. Vice versa, House of the People can shoot down anything by the House of Nobility by a 60+% vote. Anything disapproved by the king can be vetoed if both bodies agree on a 60+% vote.

The King can establish executive order in times of crCIA, including but not limited to: War, Famine, Sickness, Diaster and Gridlock.

The King is only descended from the Chieftains bloodline.

Galaumia is now a Parlimentary Monarchy.

Trade is opened up to the Three Crowns, as a complimentary roasted boar is sent to each leader.

Super Sayan Ru'sh.
Added to Atensiaball post.

With both nations economies having taken a large hit on top of the high cost of waging war and its negative effects on the land, Romicia and Ajakstan find themselves unable to continue direct hostilities for the time being and instead focus on reaching a point where they may be able to wage war again.  Large armies are recalled from the front lines, and the borders fluctuate and become less jagged.  Although large campaigns are now out of the question, small raids, primarily to steal goods, continue.

Edbania is thrown into a state of panic for a while.  With its already weak institutions, the shock of this blow leaves the government extremely weak, and it is only by sheer luck that law and order are more or less maintained.

With the economy weakened to its current degree, many Avalonians in Gehendenland leave for Avalonia, the Island Colony, or Siderland where the economic damage was less than in their own territory.  Trade starts to center around the more local region rather than far out.  The Council reevaluates the national budget and cuts some expenses considered to be less essential. To show that they are willing to make sacrifices for the good of the nation, several members auction off some of their property to line the public coffers, and the Council's sanctum undergoes a transformation from lavish to relatively bare.  The citizenry is pleased with the Council's actions and attitude.

A recent graduate of Ru'sh Kai school of engineering, Zhang Han Kai, develops several experimental craft for the Ru'sh Naal navy.

During the development of demonstration models, a nearly complete and functoinal war ship is stolen by Mahowaeaen sailors and sets north plunding ships carrying taxation money back from Molenia as well as openly engaging lone patrol ships sinking one.

In order to defend their shores from the pirate threat, the Ru'sh Naal navy is mobilized and is actively patrolling the Estic Ocean to prevent the ship from heading into Rustuffe waters.

A large scale emergency-response scenario war games require most of the Ru'sh Naal military to set up camps along the northern Ru'sh Naal border territories sparking alarm from the Navaro tribe, whom the Rustuffe parliament assures has no reason to worry, as these are merely training exercies.

Rustuffe merchants in Avalonia and Atensia bring with them the delecacy of calamari! Able to be fried, dried, or eaten raw and wrigling, calamari is the dinner treat you'll love to eat!

Orshkal dispatches flotillas to find and capture the boat.  After weeks of searching, the vessel is captured and its crew is sold into slavery in Tulvans, although the pirates seem to have spent or otherwise lost about half of the money.  Frustrated by Ru'sh Naal's failure to keep its people in line, Orshkal's King authorizes his navy to blockade any and all sea travel from the Southern Estic Ocean, issuing a proclamation that any ships coming from that direction will be assumed to be pirates, and their vessel and its cargo confiscated.

Despite the fact that travel to Northern waters has historically been slim and trade as a whole is on the decline, about a third of Rustuffes look on this with unease.

With things going as they are, the Council decides that it will not intervene militarily with Marivus and its dictatorship unless Marivus should instigate such action.

Calamari catches on in some circles in Siderland, but most "mainlanders" don't take to well to it and prefer things like codfish.

One of Zhang Han Kai's ships (not the model stolen) is demonstrated near the capital city, the vessel takes designs of older open-bottom fishing craft while adding a temporary additional bottom plate for the sea travel of the ship.
The rowers, usually trained Mahowaeaens, would ride directly at the coast seeming marooning their ship, however once the soldiers lift the frame off the bottom plate, large wheels stored on this ship roll into place and the soldiers are then able to roll their defended craft further inland as necessary until they may disembark through the top or front of the craft.

Atenisia effectively creates the first "explosive" projectile platform for ships.

No, not gunpowder. Just very flammable materials inside of glass balls packaged with what you would call lanterns.
It makes fires okay >:(

Yeah I've done some research into this its just about now we are getting the first fireworks (thats why i've been having my people muck around with batstuff) , but flaming arrows didnt come into full force until 800ish, until then the closest things are arrows with oil soaked cloths tied to them. Or flame grenades using cloths soaked in oil and thown, a technique that has been taught to my soldiers since shortly after I got Mahowaeae, as it is their favorite past time.

Random Events No. 16

Lotavik:  Despite the ongoing violence and failure of Lotavik's government to combat Saobar, the population continues to grow, and many still consider themselves loyal not to Saobar, but to Lotavik, especially in the West.  This has allowed local leaders in the West to form militias to resist Saobar.  (POP: 80%)

Ezbátu:  Ashibia, Gungixao, an Sjnai begin to feel the hurt that not trading with Ezbatu is causing, and meet together to figure out what to do.  Together, they organize smuggling rings to get goods and capital in and out of Ezbatu, especially Varakia and Tsekenaum where poverty has struck the hardest and goods sell at barebones prices.  (NPC: 0%)

Atenisia:  Incensed that not enough is being done about the shame both Marivus and West Albiton have brought to the Cassian faith, mobs run rampant through Atensia enforcing fundamentalist Cassian law, burning at the stake those believed to not be orthodox enough, attacking unpopular officials, and causing massive property damage.  Calls to overthrow the government and establish a fundamentalist theocracy led by the primary heroes of this movement, mostly rabidly orthodox clerics.  Many military men and leaders have joined in the calls fro revolution.  (POL:  0%)

Avalonia:  Despite the economic downturn, many Avalonians are not freaking out, an event mainly attributed to the Council's willingness to make sacrifices.  Solidarity in the Avalonian Union is strong.  (POL:  70%)

Galaumia:  The Three Crowns are pleased with the boars and tensions around the AEIU events begin to thaw.  They're not going after an alliance or anything, but the nations are pleased with how Galaumia has transitioned from a chieftainship, even if it has not become a monarchy.  (NPC:  60%)

Caprica:  With the regional economy a big hole in the ground, agricultural production lies below subsistence level, and many Capricans starve.  With the population already weakened, a plague sweeps through Caprica and parts of Romicia and Ajakstan, claiming even more lives.  (POP: 10%)

Hlaohamarr:  With Hlaohamarr not involved in any wars, the population is able to grow and a greater rate.  (POP:  60%)

Auria:  Nothing out of the ordinary here.

Espovon:  With the happenings in Atensia going on, Ateni on the island North of Espovon begin to identify less with Ateni on the mainland, and more with people in Espovon.  The island declares its independence while mainland Atensia is too busy to do anything about it and attempts to ally itself with Espovon.  (POL:  90%)

Rēsugurētā:  With no civil war, famine, or pestilence, the population in Rēsugurētā begins to grow at a greater rate than it has in recent times.  (POP: 60%)

Ru'sh Naal:  Nothing out of the ordinary here.

We aren't actually fighting Saobar anymore. It's serfs of both nations+former Saobar leaders vs Lotavik govt

Galaumia:  The Three Crowns are pleased with the boars and tensions around the AEIU events begin to thaw.  They're not going after an alliance or anything, but the nations are pleased with how Galaumia has transitioned from a chieftainship, even if it has not become a monarchy.  (NPC:  60%)
um we are a monarchy???

Okay, in effect, Lotavik's government still has loyalty in the West.  Run with it.

Absolute monarchy may have been a better phrase.
