Thing called inflation.
What you said is a paper that gives you money out of no where.

You didn't explain.

out of nowhere would be a bank

that you take the paper to

Wereu Forces quicky abandon the town of Xiaana as the majority of Rustuffe forces arrive to reclaim the town, the Wereu instead head again south east and join up with the larger main body of the Wereu forces as they regroup outside of Old Daijoua and head east as well.

out of nowhere would be a bank

that you take the paper to
and where does the paper's monetary value come from?

It seems to me that it's a form of credit.  A promise to pay in something of actual value.  That's how these things started.  The Order of the Golden Lion did something similar during the military dictatorship when much of their stuff was hidden away and would likely have been seized if found, they just used something akin to a promissory note/iou/bill of exchange (much like the Jews did under similar circumstances; its use in the New Union has effectively fallen out of practice now that wealth is secure from seizure once again).

Efforts to fully integrate the new provinces draw to a successful close.  Bureaucratically, Militarily, and Politically, the structure of the new provinces resembles that of the rest of the New Union, and can operate as part of the whole while still retaining some traditional elements (some of which have been implemented elsewhere in the New Union).

Random Events No. 23

Estrand:  Forces from Peshland move into Estrand's western provinces but are quickly repelled by local forces.  Peshland's own lands are under threat by Estrand, Unakrya, and Olva.  (MIL:  70%)

Ezbatan States:  A mild famine, the result of a pestilence that strikes rice paddies in the east, causes some in the cities to starve.  The crCIA is minimal, however, and only affects the eastern regions.  (POP: 40%)

Atenisia:  There is some disquiet among Ateni nobles, who feel that the Pope's displeasure at the Calzonian Peace makes the King less suitable for his office than otherwise.  Nobody seems to be acting on this disquiet or meeting, but it exists in some nonetheless.  (POL:  40%)

Avalonia:  Nothing out of the ordinary here.

Galaumia:  The Galaumian people, fueled by bumper crops of wheat, have lots of children, causing a population explosion.  Cities and towns become bigger, and the people are happy.  (POP:  100%)

Caprica:  Now an NPC.  Will not have REs in future.

Hlaohamarr:  Hlaoman forces seem to be some of the best in the region, boosting morale slightly and giving them a slight psychological edge in battle.  (MIL:  60%)

Auria:   Now an NPC.  Will not have REs in future.

Espovon:  Albiton sends a diplomat to Espovon bearing the message that the island nation may either convert or expel all non-Cassians in its lands and become a part of the Holy Nations, or Albiton will do so by force, crushing the military, overthrowing the government, and establishing a puppet state.  (NPC:  10%)

Ru'sh Naal:  Spurred on by the seeming success of their Wereu compatriots, other nations in the Anti-Rustuffe League send troops to depose the Kim regime and establish a weak and easily influenced government which will export raw materials for next to nothing.  (NPC:  10%)

Imperium Conservatium:  Nothing out of the ordinary here.

NPC Happenings:
The war between Ajakstan and Romicia ends with Romicia's capitol being sacked and large swathes of Romician territory falling under Ajakstan's dominion.
Albiton's naval campaign to the East brings new islands into the Cassian sphere and under Albitonic control.  Asar believes that Albiton will be a threat in future and prepares to defend itself through tactical planning, naval construction, and nurturing ties with Zurukland; Bresini nurtures ties with Varansk.
The majority of citizens in Ilystric are now Cassian, although many believe that the Holy Nations will attempt to seize the lands of its satellite neighbors and bring distress.  Ilystric begins to foster ties with Caprica, Romicia, and Edbania.

Updated Map

Issues I've already realized but am too lazy to fix right now:
  • Rustuffe-Wereu border should be red.
  • Albhad & Ytsur lack NPC descriptions; if SWAT fails to provide soon, I'll come up with some within ~a week.
  • [Your Input Goes Here]

I have always been getting stuff rolls lately :(

The Atenisian King hears the growling about the "Pope's shame in Atenisia" and tells them to stop being starfishs.
You were all whining to get out of the war.

Not necessarily royal wax seals.  Noble families own them, too.

The recipient can be anyone, so long as they can sign that they received it.

Ezbátu manages to make its own fireworks.  They are launched at the following autumn festival.

Staple resources such as wheat are funneled eastward to make up for the loss in rice.  Prices of wheat rises.

At some point, I'll give a breakdown of the major industries of Ezbátu on a minimap.

The Pope asks Atenisia to retract that statement.

Espovon /"accepts"/ the terms

word is sent to Avalonia for discussion once the escorted fleet arrives. cancelled

Atenisia's King does a formal apology to the Pope and does take it back, but he does continue to shame the nobles backstage in being absolutely bipolar.

Not verbally, just elephant in the room type of thing.

"what shall we do pope"

The Pope leaves, saying to effect, "Figure it out."  Tensions rise between noble families who believe that the war should have continued and the king and those loyal to him.

With most of the Rustuffe primary military forces distracted holding off the neighboring countries' invasion forces, the Wereu are given a practically clear line of assault on the capitol at Daijoua until reaching the city to be held off in a lengthy stalemate by the formidable Rustuffe Arm of Bao tasked in defending the city and the Honorable President.

If anyone wants new themes for the new times, just lemme know.

The Ezbatan States become united as one for the first time in history.

Also Pleth if you know where all the NPC posts are that I haven't linked in the OPs are, can you post the links here.  I'm gonna do an update sweep.

If Galaumia's theme could take on a little more Islamic flavor, that'd be awesome.

Not yet for me (though I dont think I even had a theme), my country's still transforming. (because I hate double posting but no one has been posting in like two days, so i havent been able to progress any of my events)

To end the stalemate at Daijoua where the Wereu forces are being held off by the Arm of Bao, Gunxi offers to come up with a solution so long as he is instated ruler of the territories, a proposal with which the Wereu generals fighting along side the Buddhist monk for the past few years are more than happy to oblige.

Gunxi has his rebels in the Navaro region coordinate a devastating assault on the people in the town of Roussa during a funeral ceremony for a great Rustuffe general who had died protecting the borders against Ashkailyan and Orshkal incursions.

During the ceremony, the monks whom were disguised as servants catering the event, began their assault on the government officials in attendance including the current Bao and her Disciple. Hatol-Wun Bao ended up dieing at the ceremony and Rauchtaue was severly injured.

Displaying great resilliance however, the new Bao Rauchtaue would lead most of the attendees of the ceremony and many of the townsfolk safely to the Navaro Kai academy, where the cliff side fortifications allowed the Rustuffes a place to recover from the assault.

A message is sent by the rebels whom have now surrounded the academy that Rauchtaue Bao demand the withdrawl of the Arm of Bao in Daijoua in order to end the slaughter of his own people caught in the cross fire daily at the city.

The injured Bao declared the Arm would not move yet from their defensive positions and that the only danger to the citizens were caused by the rebels and their misguided cause to begin with.

If Galaumia's theme could take on a little more Islamic flavor, that'd be awesome.
That was my main reason for posting that actually.  :P

PM me what you'd like instrument-wise.
