this

wow I didn't even watch the video until now
the cops are completely in the right
if an starfish tries to resist arrest, you need to pin him on the ground. I couldn't really care less about new york's "no chokehold" thing. chokeholds often make people go unconscious. he wasn't putting his hands on his head like they told him. there's no way they'd know he had asthma. forget him. don't do illegal stuff and you won't experience anything like this.
are you kidding me

He was selling un-taxed cigarettes
okay, good to know.

i'm more concerned about the fact that this wasn't even brought to trial.

what in the literal hell is going on with this damned country? there's protests up the wazoo, and they don't really seem to be dying out at the moment. there's plans for a protest at my art school for forgets sake. this is making me feel unsafe. what gives people the right mind to act like this? too much social media? pretentious news? the tumblr crowd? this is nuts. and i am very confused about the entire thing.

posting controversial topics to encourage debate =/= starting stuff

are you kidding me
He's probably not. If you want your opinion heard, it's not a good idea just to say "are you joking/kidding (me)?" in response to an opinion you don't agree with. Elaborate and people can discuss it.

I can tell you're confused because you're afraid of peaceful protests, lol

Sit down and read an article or two if you want to be informed.

So, when police use illegal force strictly prohibited by their own police department, it doesn't matter because he was "doing his job" despite the situation being handled in the exactly wrong way

But when a man is killed from that choke hold because he was involved in illegal activity, it's justified?

What the forget are you guys on about, seriously?

people are protesting against alleged institutional racism. it's not hard to see where the possibility of said racism comes from, the american version of apartheid only ended some 40 odd years ago.
