"Raiden flight, can you hit those aces with TAG's? We could hit them better,"

"Do I seriously have to use all of my flares?"
: If you aren't confident in your own piloting ability, yes.

Evading without flares means I roll a die. It's more likely to fail than flares, but it beats doing nothing.

I drop flares and break hard, hoping to get on his tail.
The enemy plane tries to keep up, but you manage to turn the tables on them.

"You're lucky that didn't completely kill you Whisky. Get the forget back here."
I catch up with his craft and stay near him to fend off counterattacks.
No further attacks on him are made this turn, but one of the Eurofighters begin maneuvering towards you.

Dropping my last array of flares, I turn off the turbocharger, but the afterburners remain on. I dive(?) on Paladius, locking and firing both of my AAMs at him followed by a healthy dose of cannonfire.
As you shut off the turbocharger, you hear and feel a dull clanking. It doesn't immediately affect your performance, but your HUD warns you of some engine damage. The first of the outgoing missiles is spoofed by the enemy pilot's flares, while the second forces him into some defensive flying.
: [Sir? A little help?]
: [I've got him, hold on.]

Your HUD warns you of a pair of incoming missiles.

"Raiden flight, can you hit those aces with TAG's? We could hit them better,"
: Negative. My orders are to use these to designate targets on the carrier.

I get as many of the Eurofighters into the radar gimbal area as I can and fire four missiles. They streak away, and I hold the fighters in my reticle as best I can.

"Do I seriously have to use all of my flares?"

it would make sense if the missiles were shot out after you deployed the flares but if the missiles are already out then they should probably get thrown off. like if missile A was close up and you popped flares while missile B was in the air and further away, both should probably get thrown off. it's just my opinion though

Bell launches a heatseeker torwards Paldius's way before moving to tail one of the Eurofighters.

I fire off a heatseeker and spray the fighter with my 20mm gun before turning to engage another.

"Whoa! That missile looks pretty nasty. Let me just go ahead and press this..."

I activate another charge from the guidance scrambler, to save myself, before pulling up as hard as the AoA limiter lets me. I cut the afterburners and dive vertically, making random adjustments to my roll.

(OOC: my jet is positioned to pull up at an angle that can't be quickly tailed if the enemy decides to get on my tail, and that's exactly what yes-man will start doing if someone tries to tail him)

I go in for Paladius. I fire two heatseekers at him.

They scatter like roosterroaches, but two of them choose the same direction and are taken out.

Bell launches a heatseeker torwards Paldius's way before moving to tail one of the Eurofighters.
He continues his evasive pattern, dodging the missile but in no position to get on anyone's tail.
: [I can't shake him!]
: [No, you can't, so use your All-Aspects.]
: [Oh. Right.]

Two AAMs "swing ass into the wind" and begin hurtling towards you.

I fire off a heatseeker and spray the fighter with my 20mm gun before turning to engage another.
You take down one of the fighters Crash missed.

The missiles spin out of control and detonate harmlessly away from everything else. Jensen makes no attempt to pursue you.

I go in for Paladius. I fire two heatseekers at him.
Instead, Jensen goes after another person attempting to shoot down his squadmate. With everyone attempting to gang up on the rookie, nobody even makes an attempt to stop him, and he is able to line up a gun run uncontested. The gauss slug enters through your right engine, destroying it and devastating the internals of your plane. Miraculously, you don't explode, but your left engine sputters and dies, leaving you powerless. Control surfaces are also not responding as they once did.

Yamato returns from her resupply and goes after the last enemy mook.

what should i relabel that as in the plane sheet

bjorkfighter

I level out, and I take note of my speed. I hit the afterburners and go after Jensen via cannonfire, no less.

just list it as the typhoon

Bell pulls into an evasive banking manuever and deploys flares.

I hear the gauss cannon rip through my left engine. It shuts out. My right engine isn't doing too well, either. I flip the extinguisher switch for both of my engines.

"Oh, stuff." I'm losing speed and altitude.

I am unable to save my plane.

"I'm gonna bail, guys. See you later."

I yank on the ejection handle. I am unsure what is going on below me.

no no AAM defensive fire is MY idea

I lock up Paladius at range and fire two RGM's at him. I track him carefully.

go for jensen

I try to get on Jensen's tail, firing off two AAMs and one HSM, and hitting him as much as I can with the cannon.
