Bell lights up the defense emplacement with her guns and drops a guided bomb on the large tank (?) in front.
The bomb is blown out of the air by one of the CRAM turrets, but you take out an IFV, Laser AAA, SAM turret, and the other CRAM with your guns. You take a bit of damage from the other Laser AAA as you pass over, but it's nothing serious.

I perform a strafing and rocket run on AA emplacement 1.
You level half the emplacement, and pick up a SAM as you fly away.

It gets bipped out of the air by a CRAM turret, and a SAM is launched at you.
Faw pops flares and chaff in an attempt to seed the skies with diversions.
This happens, although it comes a little late to be of much use. Furthermore, the AA defenses weren't paying much attention to the area of airspace Faw is currently in.
(i don't like making turns completely invalid without an explanation so i'll leave this here: coordinate distraction countermeasures with an attacking aircraft next time)
I climb above the battle and watch for enemy aircraft.
Skies look clear from where you are.

: Well, yeah. That's what we were planning on doing. Better get cracking though, we're already set up for our run and if we have to abort that'll waste quite a bit of time.
