Tippy practically groans
"They can complain but I'm not here to hold their hand because they didn't think things through. If you're going to pass blame to me and the rest of my team make sure you have something to back yourself up with."

"Whatever. Either way, we need to work quickly. I do not doubt that the Imperials are moving significant amounts of resources right now to stop the cruiser from massacring their garrison in this country."

Then why are some of them running? Stop trying to sound cool.

"If they have any backup then it's not going to arrive in time, stop running your mouth and start shooting these targets on the ground."

Bell lights up the defense emplacement with her guns and drops a guided bomb on the large tank (?) in front.
The bomb is blown out of the air by one of the CRAM turrets, but you take out an IFV, Laser AAA, SAM turret, and the other CRAM with your guns. You take a bit of damage from the other Laser AAA as you pass over, but it's nothing serious.

I perform a strafing and rocket run on AA emplacement 1.
You level half the emplacement, and pick up a SAM as you fly away.

Tippy drops her dumb bomb over AA 2
It gets bipped out of the air by a CRAM turret, and a SAM is launched at you.

Faw pops flares and chaff in an attempt to seed the skies with diversions.
This happens, although it comes a little late to be of much use. Furthermore, the AA defenses weren't paying much attention to the area of airspace Faw is currently in.
(i don't like making turns completely invalid without an explanation so i'll leave this here: coordinate distraction countermeasures with an attacking aircraft next time)

I climb above the battle and watch for enemy aircraft.
Skies look clear from where you are.

"That's a lot of air defense radars. Marauder, advise you guys stay clear until we can clean up the air defenses,"
: Well, yeah. That's what we were planning on doing. Better get cracking though, we're already set up for our run and if we have to abort that'll waste quite a bit of time.

I roll over and reverse course, attacking the second site. I orient myself towards the far side turret, then lock up the nearest one and fire a JSM. I fire the P3 into the other turret.

Tippy drops chaff and comes in again this time firing an AGM and bursts of AC5

"Oh GOD DAMMIT."
I try to evade the SAM with what little maneuverability I have.

Faw slams down the turbochargers and catches up to Yui before popping chaff.

I turn around and go in for the C-RAM at the defensive emplacement. I launch a JSM at it, while shooting my AC5 in the general area.

Bell goes in for a gun run after Tourist has cleared out, dropping a bomb on the monster tank and lighting up the laser AA and surrounding area with her guns again.

The JSM flies in past the CRAM fire and blows its target to pieces. The Plasma shot does an even better job at flattening the other turret. You take some moderate damage from laserfire and a SAM is launched at you.

The AGM takes out the SAM site that fired on Hurricane, saving him from the missile.

"Oh GOD DAMMIT."
I try to evade the SAM with what little maneuverability I have.
Not a chance.
Faw slams down the turbochargers and catches up to Yui before popping chaff.
Faw saves Yui's ass, though the deployment was so down to the wire that the missile explodes in the cloud of chaff, showering him with fragments.

I turn around and go in for the C-RAM at the defensive emplacement. I launch a JSM at it, while shooting my AC5 in the general area.
The JSM knocks out the CRAM but the unfocused AC5 fire fails to seriously damage anything.

Bell goes in for a gun run after Tourist has cleared out, dropping a bomb on the monster tank and lighting up the laser AA and surrounding area with her guns again.
The bomb blows up the Defender tank and finishes off the IFV and laser AA after they get softened up by your gun run.

: Hurry up guys, we're almost there.

"All CRAMs site 2 destroyed," I report.

I pull the stick back and climb, releasing the appropriate countermeasures.

"Moderate damage sustained. At the least this thing is a loving tank,"

walt's the only person who could make an attempt without getting hit, he's got the most chaff
