Bell dons her flight suit and helmet before getting in the roosterpit of her MiG-29. The ordinance has already been loaded onto the aircraft, so she does the typical pre-flight check to make sure everything is functioning correctly. She faxes a requisitions order to the office and stows away her tablet.

I'm an idiot for not specifying what I wanted.

The way requisitions work as of now is that they're whatever you've stuck on your loadout sheet and they magically take effect immediately. You can roleplay that you requisitioned it earlier, but it's something I'm a bit too lazy to actively keep track of.

F/A-18 Hornet
Rotary Cannon (RAC/10) - 0 points
3x Heatseekers (HSM) - 12 points
3x Anti-Ground Missile (AGM) - 18 points
Bigger Bomb (BTF-0W HE) - 14 points
Artemis IV - 4 points
Turbocharger - 6 points

54 points in all.

I'll edit my loadout sheet when it's available then, thanks.

If the RAC/10 is one of your coaxial guns then you don't take the weapon into account, it only factors in when you attach it as an external gunpod.

I'll use my MiG load out that's already on the spreadsheet.

How much time has passed?

oh yeah we're out of MiG-29s Zombi so I'll switch over to the Hornet for this mission if you ask

Absolutely none since the briefing, the entire universe will resume when everybody is finished with their loadouts.

When all of you are ready, start taking off. Like. Like off the runway. N-not your clothing.

Bell's MiG-29 takes off after she receives clearance from the tower. "Alright, I'm good to go."

Faw strolls up to the F/A-18 clad in the most generic, uninspiring, and regulations-adhering uniform possible and climbs up to the roosterpit. Once he's on the jet, he jumps down into the roosterpit and starts preparing for takeoff.

Junkers gets airborne after the tower said that he's clear for takeoff.

I head out to the hangar, flight suit on. I check that my aircraft is properly loaded out and taxi out to the runway.
"Talisman, requesting permission to take off."

Everybody gets the proper clearance to take off, and you all sync up with the Mercanan AWACS on-site.

: Oracle here, good to see you Mjolnir. You will be providing support for the ground defensive from any strike aircraft threat. Linking you up with ground force comms now.
: --stuff. That armor's gone, move MOVE. Ark's exhaust, it's a loving killing floor down here, Oracle, where's our air support?
: Air support is in the AO, registering fourteen aircraft. Five are Mjolnir, nine hostiles. Permission to engage has been granted, Mjolnir flight.

Sure enough, once Oracle is finished speaking, nine hostile targets appear, four Saab 37 Viggens and five SEPECAT Jaguars. It looks like the Jaguars are starting to wheel around for another pass at the defensive lines.

A bouncy, discolored, and loud MiG tales the formation.

My opener is to lock up a Viggen, and launch and RGM. I have my mind set on finishing this fight before my caffeine high wears off and I have to down another energy drink to stay awake.

I lock on to one of the Jaguars with a heatseeker and fire away.

Bell breaks off to gain some altitude and locks on to two of the Jaguars with radar missiles, while spoofing a lock on a third. She fires the RGMs, staying back to keep the missiles locked onto the Jaguars within the boresight of her targeting radar. It was likely that they would deploy countermeasures if they were competent, but she hoped that the missiles would help drive them off long enough for her to get into a better position to engage the enemy at a closer range.
