I release two flares and get closer to the scud, then fire another small burst of rockets.
The missiles go for the bait, but you pick up another IR lock immediately and come under fire from ground-based autocannon emplacements. Now that you're closer you have a better view of the situation and are able to make out the lasers coming from ground level that have been hampering your rocket attacks.

Bell scans the ground for anti-air and MANPADs.
There are multiple trucks mounting skyward-pointing autocannon turrets, at least one stationary SAM site, an Imperial mobile AA, and a handful of power armored soldiers, some of which are carrying shoulder-mounted missile launchers.

Tippy and Roger are now on the scene. They are approaching from the upper-left, where Crash and Shortsword are coming from the lower-left.

I push this thing as hard as I can and try to rendezvous with Crash and Tippy.

Bell fires two missiles at the mobile AA and opens up on the soldiers with the autocannon.

Jaakko strafes hard to the left to avoid the autocannon fire, and drops a flare to confuse the missile.

The autocannon burst lands among the two troopers in front of the trucks blocking off one of the park's entrances. As the dust clears you see one of them has dropped their weapon and is trying to limp its way to cover and the other is already behind the AA truck, readying their missile launcher.

Your jinking maneuver sheds most of the autocannon fire but the truck continues to attempt to track you, despite damage dealt by your gunner, and you end up running into fire from the other gun truck. Despite expending the last of your flares, the missile lock remains, the source of which could be any one of the units below.

You are now that much closer to bailing out your squad leader.

Tippy and Roger roar in and engage the nearest enemy vehicle with their nose cannon.

Though the gunfire doesn't destroy the APC, the presence of another chopper draws a considerable amount of gunfire away from your squadron leader. Havoc-2 takes minor damage from ground-based AA guns, and Havoc-1's missile lock goes away, instead transferring to Havoc-2 as the power armor-clad trooper responsible (the one behind the APC) switches targets to the new contact.

All choppers are now present in the combat area.
also its gojiras birthday or some stuff

"On it.", I say, and then press bleep boop buttons needed to fire the missile.
