Markus looks somewhat surprised, but takes the rifle anyways.
...what the hell's going on inside her head?

Tippy knelt (or stood) near the cadet.

"Markus, i want to check him for wounds, (and while i'm at it, small weapons) can you tell him my intentions"

"...alright."
Markus gets the cadet's attention, and explains the situation.
"[Don't worry, she's just going to check over you for injuries.]"

Gus fiddles with the magazine of the rifle. It was clearly designed to accept a standardised rubber magpul magazine, but instead was loaded with an old and scratched metal one, and so it rattles when bumped - particularly annoying on a moving aircraft. He pipes up idly while searching his vest for a different magazine.

"I've seen how Aesthian interrogations go. Kid this old, I think I'd rather take the quick way out."

"Kid this old, what could he possibly know? On that note, look at the rank insignia. He's a cadet. They almost certainly haven't told him anything."

Jaakko takes the mag out of his gun and clears it. He observes the conversation, and wonders when Tippy and Gus became of the opinion that it was okay to shoot downed enemy pilots.

Graf notices the new face on board
"...who's this guy?"

He takes a closer look at notices his rank of Cadet, as well as the Imperial flight suit.

"Where'd you get this kid from?"

Dahl speaks up, twirling a gothic service pistol around his finger.
: Already did that.

Once inside the hangar, the boarding ramp comes down and medics begin ferrying the wounded (but not the captured pilot) to the medical bay. Virvel exits the roosterpit into the troop compartment and removes her helmet.
: Shoulda just taken his gun, tied him up, and left him if you ask me. It's not our responsibility to evac their guys from the field. Does this thing we're on even have a brig?

Cualli looks over at the VTOL, her attention being drawn by the sounds of an unhappy engine. She watches the disembarking passengers, counting in her head how many made it back.

19 people offload from the transport. Four of them are being helped by medical personnel, one of them is in a body bag, and one is wearing a grey flight suit and the wrong sort of helmet and has his hands on his head because he's being led off the VTOL with a gun pressed against his spine.

"...who's this guy?"

He takes a closer look at notices his rank of Cadet, as well as the Imperial flight suit.

"Where'd you get this kid from?"

"We-"

Jaakko swallows a degrading remark and continues, "-found him while waiting to for you to get to the VTOL."

He turns to Virvel.

"If it weren't for the fact that he would die if he stayed where he was I would have been more okay with knocking him out and leaving him. If it's any consolation I'm sure he'll be traded to bring some of our own guys home."

And to the cadet. Jaakko stands up and approaches him. He attempts to signal the cadet to take his helmet off.

Cualli frowns once she realizes that only four of the pilots were recovered. Her expression of disappointment is replaced by one of concern once she sees that they've brought an Imperial onboard. After watching the procession for a moment, she beckons to Elu.

"C'mon, let's go figure out the abuse they put that VTOL through." Cualli glances at the Imperial pilot again. "And maybe find out what the deal is with that guy. You listen for anything regarding how he wound up here, okay?"

She leads Elu over to the VTOL and finds Virvel amidst the crowd. She stands nearby and waits for an opportunity to ask about the VTOL engines, although she's half listening to the conversations going on around her.

: 'Kay. Hope we have some place to store him in the meantime.

The pilot doesn't understand your signal.

You now have that opportunity.

Gus removes the magazine and clears the round from his rifle, replacing the mag back into his vest. He shrugs and yawns.

"Just because he probably doesn't have any useful information doesn't mean he isn't going to be grilled. Not something I'd look forward to."

"Those engines didn't sound too happy when you came in," Cualli comments to Virvel. "What happened out there?"
