Mission Theme

The planes are properly kitted out and everybody launches from the Tordenskjold, rendezvousing at a point several miles southwest of the carrier's location. Navigational waypoints are marked for the Volk street and 12th avenue insertion points, as well as the location of the Imperial carrier itself.

: Deploy Culex-I and have it follow Crash, we're going to keep the rest of the drones in the bay until trouble shows up.

Ash strums his fingers as he grips the controls. It's his first time flying an aircraft that has one of those fancy force-sensing flight sticks.

"Blackeye, turning to waypoint 3 on vector one-four-zero for six miles, descending to fifty AGL."

With a light press of Ash's palm, the Wyvern almost flicks itself on-course. Ark be damned, this thing twitches like a motherforgeter! He keeps a finger primed over the sensitivity control for when he reaches the 12th Street insertion point.

: Yes ma'am.

The drone is deployed and flies off to join Crash's group.

You catch movement in the corner of your eye, in the direction of the carrier.

Gus falls in behind Crash as they begin to make their way towards the center of the city. Behind a handful of buildings lies the Imperial supercarrier, no doubt waiting for them. He flicks on the mic and addresses the other three in the distraction flight.

"Ready to play chicken with an Imperial supercarrier?"

Jaakko's Flight Theme

"We're going to do the Gods' work today," Jaakko replies.

"Mjolnir flight, Blackeye, look alive. I think I saw some movement off to my 2 o'clock, towards the IP," Ash readies the all-aspect missiles, turns on helmet cuing and snaps his head where he last saw the bogey.

"Mjolnir flight, Blackeye, look alive. I think I saw some movement off to my 10 o'clock, towards the IP," Ash readies the all-aspect missiles, turns on helmet cuing and snaps his head where he last saw the bogey.

The movement you saw appears to actually be a visual distortion resulting from light diffracting around a cloaked vessel. You can't make out exactly what it is, but it based on what buildings are affected by the distortion, it must be very close by, no farther than a mile out to your two o'clock. An uncloaked craft emerges from the anomaly, giving you an idea as to what the cause of it may be.

: Oh, look at that, a transport just comes out of nowhere.

: Oh, look at that, a transport just comes out of nowhere.

"I think it's been there the whole time. The carrier group never did get around to dealing with that drone tender."

: Just look out, they might have mounted a catapult to launch drones like the Ardea skysubs.

Ash blinks.

"Uh, I take it you guys realize there's a cloaked airship in the area, then. What are we going to do about the VTOL?"

: Don't waste your time on it unless it starts attacking our planes, our objective is to weaken the carrier's defenses.

With the matter of what to do about the VTOL and cloaked ship settled; the strike group, air cover, and distraction continue on until they reach the Volk street waypoint. Blackeye is still a ways out from his designated route, however, but it being a shorter passage should make up for the delay in reaching it.

alright, after coming back and looking at this a few times I'm gonna try it out

Name: Ferdinand Meeuwes
Nickname: "Rocket"
Age: 23
Piloting Preference: Air - Ground

Hailing from the Chryssali Islands- and lived there until the age of 16, carrying on a notable accent. His family headed to North Aesthia to find better grounds for themselves economically. He had a love of aerospace and rocketry, and enlisted in a local Air Force college and a trade school to earn a degree to aerospace sciences. Not only this, but he has an interest in VTOLs and missiles.

Ferdinand is the kind of guy who will look behind his back while not caring about what is in front of him, unless it's a missile or bullets. He's not that social, and his job isn't that much a weight either. It's all rocket science, anyhow.

He is 6'3, light brown hair, less of a muscly tone, with hazel eyes.
