Poise was the only reason to wear heavy armor and it's gone now. How often do you see heavy class builds now? The fastest weapon wins each loving time because of stunlock.

so you're saying that any weapon will break your form regardless of your armor?

so like if you're wearing full heavy armor and someone lands an unarmed punch on you, they'll break your form lol?

punches can stagger full havels, yes

anyway, hyper armor is pretty much just a fancy term for poise frames since even though it's technically a different mechanic it does the exact same thing: stops staggering

I love how you guys are stuffting on Tony even though hes right
and I also love how you guys just spew up "just roll through it" and "git gud" even though the lack of poise literally shuts off an entire style of play and forces you to rely on hyperarmor/poise frames whatever you want to say for heavy weapons

people are stuffting on him because he's being repetitive about his point to an excessive amount, not really just because it's his opinion. It's one thing to go up to someone and say "I don't like your dog" and it's another thing to cover your entire house with pictures of your dog with a red x over it.

get gud
you don't need poise if you aren't trash and can roll around attacks
Then adapt
ur trash lol

the only reasonable response at this point is

tony the kinda brother to 100% havel's armor set in ds1 or else he can't beat it

I get hes repeating himself n all but this is kinda uncalled for when he actually has a point

estoc cigarette

oh look at me im so good at pvp by clicking the same button over and over with no variation in tactics or even mouse movement

because just using an estoc means this is the only way the player uses it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Can anyone tell me what the advantage would be of getting something like Claymore +6 rather than upgrading to Raw Claymore?

you can do both, titanate upgrades are separate from gem upgrades

but don't upgrade raw, raw is trash

go for like, heavy, if you're putting levels into strength

I think raw would be okay early in the game but yeah pretty worthless later

I used sharp for my dex weapons and I think I have an Uchigatana +8 that does 308 damage right now

I have a refined zwei +6 that does ~300

l o l

I also have an upgraded deep battle axe

refined is best, it has the stat upgrades of raw and sharp combined + it can be buffed further

because just using an estoc means this is the only way the player uses it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

because clearly it's good at other things right

and yeah i'm pretty much on tony's side in the poise debate

the two handed shield entry move is fantastic yo.

the two handed shield entry move is fantastic yo.

and estocs are jackhammers against everything below greatshields too which is loving rediculous considering the estoc is a fencing sword and weapons like the lucerne and the claymore take twice as long to break thru a shield block

but anyway people who turtle in pvp deserve to get estoc'd so you win this one

Heavy armor and big weapons are my style of play. Has been since Demon's Souls.
