I'm actually kind of annoyed that the best non-power armor I've been able to get by level 35 is my vault suit and pieces of combat armor that look way too small to protect anything

One of my favorite parts of any RPG that shows the armor on your character is finding a new piece that's better than what you've got and looks really cool to boot, but I've been wearing the same armor for like 15 levels (and the vault suit since level 1) because anything I've found since then is inferior and/or can't be improved at an armor workbench

I've found plenty of neat-looking armor but it's all too bad to even consider using if I want to stay alive so it just sits in my trunk

My problem with the armour is that there are so few pieces that you can put stuff on-top of. Same thing with headwear, there is literally no reason why I should not be able to wear a hat on top of my gas mask. Hopefully it won't take long for a mod to come out that fixes these issues

That's definitely a major reason why most of the armor I find is bad, it replaces my vault suit AND the stuff I've got on over it, which always ends up being worse than the combined protection

That being said though, I'm still wearing the Silver Shroud costume despite the lacking protection and the fact that I can't wear the hat with my gas mask. The cloth physics are worth it in my opinion

I really should just wear whatever I want, I've got so many fusion cores that I wear my power armor all the time unless I'm walking around a small area talking to people
