Ian is also a good shield to use. Let him "tank" the damage and just try to kill the deathclaw before it turns towards you.

strength could increase based based on how often you use unarmed/melee attacks or carry around a large amount of stuff as you walk around the wasteland
perception could just go up over time, or maybe the more you're subjected to things that mess with your perception like alcohol or drug withdrawal (those mess with your "senses," right?)
endurance could increase based on withstanding and recovering from damage that's dealt to you
charisma could go up by interacting with people frequently
intelligence could go up by hacking terminals, reading, lockpicking, etc.
agility could go up by running around or sneaking
and luck could just go up by getting criticals :^)

i just think it would be an interesting idea to try out, at least for a mod
for a mod sure, but i feel like this and the fact that you can increase SPECIAL anyways sort of betrays one of the older concepts in fallout. i dont really like that since the activities are so mundane that you'd be a super character by level 20. doesnt seem right

you could also have all the followers in the world like Tycho, Katja, Ian and dog meat. ^So you were pretty much set to go fight them.

I haven't played fallout 4 yet.
I've heard that the game doesn't have "Skills" from fallout 3.
Is that the case, and if it is, are they replaced by anything?
And do i get to not put everything into lockpicking?

all perks have ranks, each lockpicking rank does a harder lock

The last rank makes having more than 1 bobbypin useless as it makes them not break

And by the time you can get it, you are probably already going to have hundreds of bobby pins

For a while now (2 hours) I've been trying to use commands (player.setrace, /tc) to either control, or just change my race into a deathclaw. /tc works, but the deathclaw despawns if my player get's stuck. The setrace command just crashes the game. Anyone know how to prevent the crashes?

Is anyone else getting this infinite loading glitch? Supposedly it comes from savefile corruption. I'm not really sure what to do, I don't want to have to revert to a save that's like an hour back.

Ok I set up a trade route between sanctuary hills and the starlight drive in, which would be the resources in the workshops would be shared with eachother but that doesn't happen. Sanctuary hills still has everything in its workshop but the drive in has jack stuff.
How the forget is the first rank of local leader supposed to work?

Items aren't transferred between workshops. Only the resources from those items.

That should mean I would have over 1000 pure wood between the drive in and sanctuary hills
but i dont
wait, do you mean resources like food and water or junk?

Bernie Sanders paused Fallout 4 in remembrance of the victims in the Paris massacre.

Okay I lied to everyone, I've gotten the game now. I'm at the Commonwealth rooftops with the Iron Man suit, anything you guys wish you knew this early in the game?
