Now I don't want to be judgmental about a game I haven't played yet and don't plan on playing for at least a year or two, but its well worth noting that the plot elements presented in fallout 4 will either make or break it.
Fallout 3 is considered the 'plot' of the entire series, as it goes over the fight for greater good, or basically the alliance with the brotherhood of steel to defeat the enclave and super mutants and purify the water. The player felt a sense of completion, and could align with either a good or bad side. Even in the dlc The Pitt (my personal favorite) players could either side with the people or the tyrant, putting the alignment of the player in either jesus or devil.
Fallout new vegas experimented with different plot aspects, which many people feel caused the plot to fall apart and seem inferior, especially when compared to fallout 3. Players were given different alignments, all of which were evil in some way. By the time players finished the game, they felt a lack of the sense of completion. People complained online that no matter what branch they took in the plot, the ending never satisfied.
If fallout 4 taps into the fallout 3 method of delivering plot, I think it might be considered the best fallout game of the entire series. It seems that it has so much potential at the moment.
If they od on the faction stuff again, well, rip.
Hmm, yes these are all things I have brought up in the past. I'll break my vow just for discussion purposes.
Well a for those who don't know a Dungeon a Labyrinth of corridors full of bad guys, bosses, and loot. They can also include traps, secrets, and mini bosses. At the time of Falllout 1 medieval fantasy was and still is the main popular genre for roleplaying games. Many of them were dungeon oriented and had many dungeons or the one big dungeon. Fallout deviated from this standard by only having very few dungeon that can be cleared through many various means.

Typical Beth dungeons are built like this. Pretty straight forward. Badguys that you have to fight or sneak by on the way. On the way there is a door you have to lock pick or find the key too. Then you got the Boss which can be dealt with just you and your party if you have one. You can hack the robot to fight for you.

NV didn't have that many dungeons(most of them were optional too), but this is something more typical of NV and the classics. You start at the south just like the first example. You can blitz down the center lane and slog it out, alternatively you can try sneaking by and risk detection.
You can go left where there will be badguys you can fight or get by. There is a closet full of crates loaded with C4. You can take the path that leads the path of most resistance. Alternatively you can up and hack a terminal to open the door to the main hallway. Or you can blow up the door if you feeling sneaky. This could save you a few extra bits of ammo and time spent fighting.
Or you can left which leaks like a cake walk. However the path is loaded with automated turrets, booby traps, and an alarm system that will send all the bad guys at you.
Which ever path you take there is a bored guard that has a key card which may or may not be handy. You can kill him, pick his pockets, or just leave him be.
From there you will take the path which forks left and right. If you go right you can talk to the boss and perform some good old fashion diplomacy. Or you can murder him. IF you need help you can lug your party with you and or hack the death robot.
If you aren't into that you can instead left and blow/hack/pick the door open to a guarded room which has a self destruct terminal that will blow up the base killing everyone in it. Doing so you will have to bug out and exit the way you came.
