that doesn't make it 'easy' at all lmfao if you go into a fight you're not prepared for you're still gonna get messed up
if you really need to micromanage a bunch of uncontrollable AI bullstuff so you can pretend it's making the game harder then just spark up the custom launcher and disable immortal NPC's

I have to say, the jump in difficulty from Hard to Very Hard is startling
I've actually been using chems on a regular basis just to survive, it's fantastic

Does Very Hard modify the amount of damage you do? I know Survival cuts it in half but is there a similar debuff for Very Hard?

I'm pretty sure survival just inherits that from very hard

yeha I thought very hard -> survival was just slower heal time and more legendaries

In addition to having a settlement raided you lose no resources collected from it.

Metal Gear Solid has a much less significant casualization of how to make forts.



Playing fallout 1 and 2 with 1 intelligence is a whole different playthrough.

This is actually what I am testing.
By the end of the game you seemingly have to lose 2 companions out of Danse, Deacon and X6.

Neither the guidebook nor wiki mentions if you lose their perks when they're gone, so I am testing it out.
Last night Deacon turned hostile on me after I killed the people at Covenant, as they were 'innocents' even though they were hostile to me and Deacon loved me destroying their bosses. When he turned hostile I didn't seem to lose his perk, so fingers-crossed, the same is true when I betray the RR.

very hard = damage dealt halved, damage received doubled

like it has been said survival is just very hard with slow healing and more legendaries

Apparently Preston can refuse to join you anymore if you are too evil, particularly if you choose not to evacuate the Institute, however he still hangs about because he is the quest giver and hand in point for most radiant minutemen quests.

To be honest I think it's better the enemies have the same health as the player.

That way nothing is a bullet sponge. Making enemies as bullet sponges doesn't make it harder just more tedious.

Has anyone had issues with mods so far? I haven't been downloading anything because I read that you risk save corruption with current mods until GECK is released
