roy plays surprisingly better than I thought he would

even though his attacks are bold and brash, his recovery belongs in the trash

ryu is pretty fun but i can't see his powered up shoryuken being useful at all
for how fast you'd have to be to not get it blocked is ridiculous

By powered up do you mean holding it, or the original SF input?

Ryu seems dope as hell, provided he is well rounded I think his combo game has serious potential

I fought a Ryu that actually knew how to combo

lost quite a few times because light kick+shoryuken is pretty good for finishing

I saw a video that claimed that Ryu's original SF input shoryuken came out in only a few frames, like 3 or 4. (Granted, it takes more time to input it)

If you have fast enough reactions/reads shoryuken is an amazing anti-air and a good kill move.

Anyone up to netplay some Project M or Melee this weekend?  I've got nothing going on and I'd like to practice against some decent players.
I'm in southern Ontario FYI so the pings aren't awful between us.
