The server itself was so fun imo.

i can't believe the police let their wanted chief run around wild while i desperately tried to kill him

so people figured out the password because i guess it wasn't a real hard password to crack considering it was the previous name of the dev server. the new password is in the doc. if you leak the password you will be banned from suburbia even after testing.

if you want to apply testing premission for your friends, list them in the posts below

also genuinely very sorry for everyone who didn't have a chance to play, i got a massive headache and i have homework to do. thank you for everyone who helped, we found a lot of bugs that i wouldn't have even thought of to test myself
next time we test it should be for longer
also very pleased the server didn't crash. its weird because its buggy as stuff but its actually very stable it seems.

probably not the test was sort of a mess and a ton of bugs and stuff need to be fixed

nice job spelling enormous wrong gyt

i've learned from today that building a house close to the spawn is one of the biggest no nos of suburbia

some people like having chaos and corpses nearby. ok maybe not the second one

well pretty much because they can just eat the corpses and become giant skeletons and cause more bodies and chaos to form

Is there a way we can access the information on the help menu online? It's good for players to know how to play before joining the server.

I have some questions after reading through all help info.

From help info: "On death, a player drops all items and money on their person, 10% of stored money, and items equal to 20% of the stored item value."

  • Correct me if I'm wrong:
If you die while carrying 5 items, each worth $20, you will drop all 5 items and anyone can pick them up.
If you die while carrying 5 items, of which 3 are worth $30 and the other 2 worth $5, you will drop the 2 items worth $5 for anyone to pick up, and the 3 items worth $30 will disappear from your inventory but they won't be dropped for others to pick up.

  • Maybe this is supposed to be secret, but - what happens when God is unpleased? What rewards are earned when God is pleased?

  • Can crops be planted anywhere? Even in the ocean, far from the island?

  • For player A to sell an item to player B, does player B have to travel to player A's sell brick which must be planted on player A's lot? Is there a way to sell items to players without the buyer having to go to your sell brick?

for all those wondering we were already planning on adding more spawns around the island before the test

never got to participate since in the eu and it was late for me.
can testing be way earlier than 1am next time to compensate for some eu players

help is sort of wip right now but mostly finished so gyt should make the doc its in public when he reads this post

any items you are carrying will be dropped, you can store items in the bank and on the market, so in both examples everything would be dropped as is. assuming you are talking about stored items: in the first example one item would be dropped, in the second you will drop the two $5 items and $10 in cash. one of the $30 items is split into money and disintegrates and you receive $20 in compensation for the destroyed item while $10 is dropped in its steed.

god's mood causes bad events and good events happen. good events usually give people money while bad events kill. if god is pissed bad events will happen

suburbia retains the lot system because i couldn't think of a way to remove it so you can only plant crops in lots but there are many tools to fakekill bricks for the aspiring crop raider

we removed sell bricks entirely in favor of a global market accessible via gui where players can buy and sell things from any location after sell bricks caused mass starvation because they are unable to distribute food efficiently enough
