Not true at all. You're still very much in control of yourself when you're high, it mostly just alters your feelings and sensations, you're not stumbling around, the ground isn't spinning, and you're fully aware of it.

they're vastly different in nature, yeah, but socially i think weed and booze is far more tied together than say weed and crack cocaine.

it's just old thinking. because it was eclectic and illegal people assumed stuff about it that wasn't true. reefer madness didn't help either.

When I am high I am very cognitively impaired, not because I feel I am but because people tell me that I am. I also notice it in other people who are high while I'm sober.

And from personal experience, the effects of weed are somewhat comparable to those of alcohol. Weed makes me less aware of my surroundings like alcohol does. Weed makes me 10 times dumber socially than alcohol does tho

So no matter what people tell you, it's always best to drive sober. Don't drive while high.
