Will Trump get re-elected in 2020?

Yes
No

The no fly zone will prevent any air space from going through, including russia's air force and civilian commercial jet planes. Hillary already admitted the no fly zone will most likely kill innocent people..

In order to achieve this we will also have to take out already existing syrian/russian air defense systems and replace with our own air defense, most of which are in high populated areas and many innocent syrians will be killed in the process.

This will piss russia off because they need to get their air force mobile to defend syria and their air defense systems are also getting destroyed. This is a direct act of war with Russia.

By going to war with Russia we will then get involved with their ally China (which we are heavily in debt with them). We already lost relations with the Philippines too. If we are to go to war with China it will be even harder since we no longer have a military presence in the Philippines.

We also have North Korea to deal with while this is going on, now while North Korea may be easy to defeat they can easily demolish South Korea's capital Seoul with a barrage of artillery fire that can kill millions of people in a few hours. So while we are fighting with russia, syria and china that's most likely when NK will strike without warning.

We don't have the necessary man power to defend US backed syrian rebels, South Korea, japan (will most likely get involved with NK) and other smaller allied nations all at the same time. Thus forcing our bigger allies to get involved to help us.

Russia is also already preparing for nuclear war, by the way.

The president does not have as much power as you think.

Almost every single idea the president has must be agreed upon in congress, including acts of war. A president cannot declare war by saying so.

Similarly, an entire border wall cannot be built because the president says so, either. Even if Annoying Orange were to be elected, I doubt the wall will end up getting built anyway.

So, don't worry. No matter who gets elected president, I highly doubt they will lead us to disaster.

Russia is also already preparing for nuclear war, by the way.

So have we, for the past 50+ years. Even after the cold war, there is no reason for the military to just stop preparing for the worst. We may have scaled down our nukes, but we still have plenty of them that are ready to launch right now.

literally none of this no fly nonsense is happening unless russia and other international leaders agree to it, in which case all of these problems will not exist because russia will be enforcing it alongside us. clinton is not the only person advocating a no-fly zone. the US is already doing so along with the UK, and i believe other powers as well. supporting a no-fly zone is not the same as saying that she will enforce it in spite of russia, it simply means that she will continue doing what the US is already doing, calling for a no-fly zone in syria to be enforced internationally.

The president does not have as much power as you think. Whoever gets elected, I doubt we're going to be suddenly sprung into nuclear war.
technically the president does have the power to tell the military to start enforcing arbitrary no-fly zones (barring the likely unconstitutional restrictions of the war powers act), but it'd be a foreign policy nightmare to just decide to do that in someone else's airspace, especially when other major players have made it very clear that they don't want a no-fly zone there. regardless, you're right, a nuclear war is probably not going to happen with either candidate. out of the two, i would probably be inclined to say that Annoying Orange might be more apt to go to war at all, but that's mostly speculation based on his personality.

Ah forget, I couldn't get my edit in time before someone else posted. Oh well.

Russia may be doing civilian nuke drills, but it only serves as a media stunt and brainwashing of their citizens to view the west as the aggressor.

But they won't use them because just using a couple hundred nukes in a typical scenario with two small-medium countries going at it, would put up enough dust to cloud the air for 10 years and kill a billion people from lack of crops alone.  We only need nukes, ready to use at a moment's notice, so as to be a credible threat and thus a successful deterrent.

And this is even more off topic from the political discussion here, but on the subject of WMDs...

There are far more destructive WMDs in the very near future, possibly already in existence but not public knowledge.  Namely, CRISPR made bio weapons and even worse, a super intelligent AI.   There's a couple really good TED talks on these subjects that came out in recent months.

The latter being way more scary when you imagine an AI with average human intelligence, processing each logical operation 1 million times faster than a human brain (typical computer speeds right now), with flawless recollection ability.  Meaning a country developing that first, leaving it on for just 6 months, would create a beyond human mind with the eqvuilanent of 500,000 years experience that could develop weapons beyond our comprehension.

Such an incredible thing could also develop medicine and other beneficial technologies beyond our compression.

You'd like compression though what with all that vacbed stuff. l3

Typed it on my phone and didn't bother to spell check since I wanted to get back to other chat things, much like right now. But yeah, everyone always focuses on the potential negatives of nanotechnology and artificial intelligence, rarely discussing the potential massive benefits for all Mankind.

Russia sent out a big ass loving tanker with a stuffload of planes and attack helicopters over there.

Why would they suddenly agree for the no fly zone?

Do you know how much money it costs to send out your biggest warship armed with your best attack air vehicles?

A few loving billion, they aren't going to say yes to the no fly zone.

wait how do you know how much it costs

and if its really the case then russia only can do 30 or so such movements a year, assuming everything else comes free - in 2014 their military expenditures was $69 bilion USD. realistically though im guessing half of it is probably spent on maintaining/purchasing weapons equipment or related (employees doing such work)

All of you misunderstand
"What is Aleppo?" is just a philosophical question. What is the refugee crCIA? What is it to be human?
