wow, thats actually really loving tribal. I hope you know an employer wont let you get a job with that sort of stuff

is anything truly wrong with this image because i fully agree with the sentiment it presents
well for 1 north america was already occupied when we started colonizing it

The law is simple, people are just bitching about it being enforced.

I agree

illegal immigration as a crime is very simple. if you don't go through the legal processes and live here anyways, you've done something illegal. legal immigration as an action is not. laws concerning legal immigration procedures are convoluted and burdensome and that's relatively undisputed as far as i can tell. the US discussion of immigration focuses on this, not on the legality of illegal immigration, an act which is obviously, by definition, illegal. nobody is saying that criminals aren't criminals, but they may be saying that the law should be changed so that they wouldn't be, or that the law should be changed to be less burdensome to follow. none of this is to say that the actions aren't illegal, they're to offer solutions to fix laws that are broken or unfair. understand that the reason it's frustrating to talk about whether or not illegal immigrants are criminals is because the focus of the discussion is on how best to alter the legal processes, not on how best to punish (or not punish) people who have broken the law.

I'm sorry but if you go through the proper channels and aren't allowed into the country anyway, that's just tough stuff man. We don't need to automatically accept people into the country and we shouldn't. It's burdensome because we like to screen people thoroughly so we don't end up like Swedenistan or London or Paris or whatever place in Europe you wanna pick that's chock full of bullstufftery due to the lax immigration. Can some of bureaucracy be curtailed? Yes, definitely. Without a doubt. But that doesn't mean the process itself is too cumbersome.

Gotta be honest, we don't need to be encouraging people to break the law, especially not something as simple as immigration laws
I don't think anyone is saying we should have more people coming over the border illegally. In fact, that's not even happening right now. The net flow of Mexican migrants is actually negative at this point. As economic opportunities have expanded in Mexico, more people from Mexico are leaving the United States than coming in, meaning we could just work towards giving amnesty to established immigrants without prolonging any civil strife over immigration.

Your attitude here is that there exists no middle ground besides the stuff we've got now and strictly-open borders.

well for 1 north america was already occupied when we started colonizing it
get those bitches out of there like its a roach infested house

well for 1 north america was already occupied when we started colonizing it
good point, native Americans did invent Listerine and casinos, maybe someone should edit that image so its a biit more inclusive, good point :)

I agree

I disagree. No human can be 'illegal'. Deporting people is wrong

well for 1 north america was already occupied when we started colonizing it

I don't think anyone is saying we should have more people coming over the border illegally.

A lotta scarecrows here were, it got me really, really confused.

I disagree. No human can be 'illegal'. Deporting people is wrong

It's not really about what's wrong or right anymore, if we don't enforce our border and immigration laws, they mean nothing anymore. It's the law.

I disagree. No human can be 'illegal'. Deporting people is wrong
get those damn commie sympathizers out of our country.

I don't think anyone is saying we should have more people coming over the border illegally.

Your right. There shouldn't be a "coming over the border illegally". People shouldn't be illegal period

It's not really about what's wrong or right anymore, if we don't enforce our border and immigration laws, they mean nothing anymore. It's the law.

Why do we even have immigration and border laws? They stifle progress and hurt people in the long run. Diversity is our strength

itt: a bunch of liberal commies want to dismantle borders as usual

People shouldn't be encouraged to cross the border but children whose parents forced them with shouldn't be punished

I don't know about you guys, honestly, I've been a Political Activist & Debater for 25 years now, and as someone who is in higher debate and attends like 9-12 regional statewide and national tournaments a year, I'm pretty sure I know how this works, there's some serious straw-men & no true Scotsmen going on in this topic.
