I didn't see Planr as much as usual, but it would apply as well.
thats cause im on a cruz so the internets slow and i didnt feel it was worth the effort to make a big argument about it.

Addressing both.  Ghost fearmongered and Goth was relentless.

Swat puts up with my bs :)

bs :)
So you openly admit everything you're saying is total garbage

So you openly admit everything you're saying is total garbage

well you know when he tells people to forget off for disagreeing with him its pretty obvious that what hes saying is probably garbage

Hey, everyone has their own opinions. If you disagree with me that's fine, I will disagree back.

We could always just agree to disagree? It might be best at this point

Also i wouldn't classify Ghost as "fearmongering"
The Bible was written to be relatable by people.  Throughout are common experiences that people today might experience, but when stuff like what Ghost is established as the forefront of Christianity, then it estranges people from God, who calls humans to be in community with Him.

In fact, Jesus calls us all in prayer to "approach God as children".  Think of how children approach people.  They are messy, sticky, covered in Lord knows what, and easily distracted or diverted.  In other words, while the Bible recognizes us as messy, the nature of God is to accept humans as they are should they come to Him.  The Parable of the Lost Sheep also shows God's willingness to be with man.  If you like, I can share it.

No i'm good, i'm 100 percent familiar with something i've studied for the majority of my childhood to now. And i'd prefer never to think about that part of my life for a loooong time.

God hates brown people that's all I know

"God hates"
This is why I feel estranged by religion.

So, uh
how does the conquest of space fit into all of this
because that's what we're on track for iirc

I might actually seriously join the discussion here but I found this loving hilarious and wanted to post it here. It's quite possibly the stupidest thing I've ever laid eyes on.

why would you post something so stupid and rage inducing :c

Theoretically speaking. There could be a "god" just not our version of what god is.

Say some guy in a science lab somewhere in an alternate universe could have created our dimension. This would make him a "god" but I doubt he is aware of our own existence and even then I doubt he would be able to communicate with us.

He himself is not some immortal all knowing being. Just a scientist and we are the experiment.

This is said by those who either are Christians who do not understand the Bible and its message, or are not Christians and do so for the sake of inciting conflict.  It's people who make this mistake, not God.  And I am sorry for those who have said that to you.

If we are just beings in a universe created by some scientist a year for us is like a couple minutes to them.
