There is about hundreds of religions. If god is real then only 1 of those religions will get you into heaven.

Advancement in science however that really is the only true salvation.

A type 3 civilization doesn't get that far in life by believing in god.

You religious whackos see an asteroid coming. You pray for god because it is his will to destroy the planet.

Science however would have loving destroyed the asteroid and this is why even if god is real it doesn't matter because science overcomes god.

Christianity just steals its ideals from other past religions and christmas is a loving pagan holiday.

If god is real I'm almost positive Christianity will get you sent to hell.

But what is holding the universe up? We know the universe came from nothing and the universe is expanding. So what's outside our universe? How does it just float in that other plane.
According to our current model, nothing. Space and time does not exist outside of the Universe. Don't think about the Universe in a expanding-bubble with something outside of it.

itt: tony is high

IIRC its 70something precent dark matter not 90

How does that make sense?

How can nothing spawn an entire universe?

How does that make sense?

How can nothing spawn an entire universe?
go and find out

How does that make sense?

How can nothing spawn an entire universe?
That's the ultimate question. And the answer could be that it just does, or that it doesn't happen like that at all, or even that a god is responsible.

We just don't know. And there's nothing more scientific than not knowing and trying to find out.

Doesn't  make sense because someone would have to create that god for him to create our universe.

It makes more sense that we are actually in a virtual reality.

The people who made our reality are in a virtual reality and so on. It would be a loving time paradox.

It makes more sense that we are actually in a virtual reality.
Is there any proof to that claim?

Is there any proof to that claim?

With how big the loving universe is and how impossible it is to travel from one planet to another it's possible that programmers of this reality made travel so seemingly impossible on purpose. Trying to discourage us.

We know that there has to be an end to the universe eventually, we would have to reach an edge.

Doesn't  make sense because someone would have to create that god for him to create our universe.

It makes more sense that we are actually in a virtual reality.
Then what created the virtual reality? And what created that?
That's the exact same argument, with the same flaws, as saying a god made the universe.

How is a programmer different from God?

Reasonable faith means scientists that try to cure Alzheimers instead of making h bombs and synthetizing biology.

If universe A created Universe B and Universe B created Universe A then in theory both universes existed at the same loving time.

If time is non-linear it is possible for that to happen.

Reasonable faith means scientists that try to cure Alzheimers instead of making h bombs and synthetizing biology.
