I don't think your country can support that many soldiers, plus it's a bit difficult to justify conscripting half of your healthy male population for a war against someone as docile as morocco
yeah it does seem a bit out of hand
ill go down to 10%

(arabian peninsula):

nejd has accused hejaz of being an impostor state, claiming itself as the "true arabia" and denouncing hejaz's reluctance to join nejd's fold

seeking to legitimize this claim, nejd has called for supporters. hejaz, on the other end, has called for supporters of its independence.

and since badpost hasn't posted yet about his role as china, I'll control it until he arrives.

china offers peace to britain and france including expedited trade rights

russia sides with nejd

Japan begins conscripting an army, around 20% of its male population. The reasons why are kept under wraps.

russia sides with nejd
As does Britain.

We are officially neutral on the American conflict, though that may be subject to change.

Help is accepted from Mexico

thank

The majority of the Navy is put on the sea border with the CSA, blockading them, and 100,000 soldiers are sent to the border with CSA to protect the country while the rest of Mexico begins turning the gears of the war machine.

oh whoops I thought the civil war was started by the north bombarding fort sumter (thus the "war of northern aggression")
fort sumter is fortified to continue construction and militias are mobilized throughout the union. troops march toward richmond.

only tribal starfishs call it "the war of northern aggression" and it's because they can't fathom that the CSA was in the wrong whatsoever

it really is a war of northern aggression if you're going to march against the CSA when they haven't done anything other than secede

right now you are still the united states but a handful of the south has left. you are not at war. there has been no exchange of gunfire or anything

it is peace

we will reunify the country by any means.

a large portion of portugal, seeing slavery as being more and more unethical and also looking up to america as the Good Country™ offers to help the north by sending naval support and supplies

citing northern aggression as a means, texas, alabama, mississippi, tennessee, louisiana, and arkansas secede as well and join the CSA

with the CSA leaves 9.1 million men from the US, along with a heap of experienced generals including the virginia-first general robert e. lee

now that the north marches against the stars and bars, their conscription has been raised to a whopping 60% -- a matter of life or death

the CSA requests aid from any who will give it

States' rights shall never Annoying Orange the peoples' rights. Massive amounts of volunteers join the Union army, faster than they can be properly trained.

Support is accepted from Portugal.

trade with the US has allowed the winds of the west to blow into japan, causing many to rethink their position in the world and whether japan is behind. should the government adjust its sails and follow the wind, or continue on its traditionalist path?

the social climate in japan is tense as a result of this debate, but it is the government's decision that will ultimately bring great change to pass
