still laggy
I'm pretty sure it's because he hasn't implemented client-side prediction and interpolation yet. This is what server-based games look like without it.

This website illustrates the effect of client-side prediction and interpolation.

you gotta get a new name on this stuff dog

That was sort of my strategy though.
My game might look pretty old, but I've actually hosted demos where people can come in and join.
Tomorrow I hope to have a public building server where people can build together and save the final build.

I've been through this before. I know that it's basically a race to get a playable game before your interest dies out.
you should name yours USSR after the blockland clan

oh yeah I forgot "block party" existed
do it do it do it

Get the download here:
http://63.251.20.184/release.zip

There's a primitive building system ready.
Hit B for the building menu. Select up to five brick datablocks. Place those 5 using the number keys.
Move sliders to adjust color of a ghost brick before placing it.
Enter to plant. ijklp; to move. Slash to remove ghost brick.
Right click *your* bricks to delete them.
Alt to toggle super shift.

Features not included:
Floating bricks prevention.
Overlapping bricks prevention.
Trust system.
Changing bricks color after they're planted.
I even forgot to give you a keybind to rotate ghost bricks. But rotation in general is supported for bricks (e.g. those that loaded.)

Other notes:
Hit q to drop item.
Hit m to toggle mouselock.
Wait for bricks to load before you can move.

What GPU, OS, and CPU do you have. And also try and find CEGUI.log and post it.
