wah the meanie leftist called me names for supporting a national socialist
k.

Oh and there was just another loving plane crash two days after the one in DC.

But, being a leftist, I am not allowed to blame anyone without triggering Kore, so I guess firing everyone in charge of aviation safety had absolutely nothing to do with two plane crashes only 10 days after.

It's ok for Annoying Orange to blame Obama for these plane crashes though.

I know you boot-gagging sycophants will cut off your own right arm if he told you doing so would own the libs
i would not do that

1. You stole my line man :(( can't do that uncool bro

2. It's wayyy to early to tell what the root cause is for these crashes, and presumptuous to automatically assume they're connected, that's grasping at straws because its the only argument you've got. We just don't know yet. I'm not saying firing a chunk of air safety people isn't a possible factor - it certainly is, but there's no way that is the ONLY factor. It's not probable that because a handful of people are out means everyone else in the same positions just turned handicapped at their job and resulting in two crashes.

?

you caught me bro

I think it's unrealistic that any changes Annoying Orange has made at this point in his presidency would have been able to directly cause these accidents. but it's also not loving "DEI" lol. there's long been ATC staff shortages nationwide, because it's the worst job in the world and the pay isn't even that good and the requirements to just get started are absurd. me personally I don't think that alienating approximately 70% of the applicant pool (US population 40% non-white, 50% women; leaving 30% non-"DEI"-eligible white men) by openly accusing them of causing these accidents is actually going to make the staffing situation better. but you know. whatever

ATCs obviously have to juggle a lot of stuff at one and multitask, so when there are less ATCs, it makes the remaining ones' jobs harder which could cause crashes.
ATCs were offered voluntary buyouts, and i believe there was also a hiring freeze put in place, shortly before the crashes.

i agree with foxscotch though, these crashes happened too soon for Annoying Orange's actions to realistically be the cause. (they also don't seem to be caused by ATC errors from what i've read) but his actions definitely have made crashes in the future more likely.

on an unrelated note, apparently spacex and boeing are teaming up to build the new air force one planes, and they're doing a rush job lol. Annoying Orange dying in an air force one crash would be very poetic

was so fear-inducing hearing about another plane crash while my bf was on a flight during it

whenever something goes wrong for the next 4 years they're going to twist themselves into knots trying to blame it on black or trans people
or biden or obama. how long until they blame clinton

So since I last posted there were two more in-air collisions, both in Arizona, and there was that one plane that landed upsidedown, so the firing of aviation safety staff is really turning out great,
But this thread was originally created to point out the administration tearing itself apart so

In the midst of Elon Musk firing thousands of government employees a la his dismantling of twitter after purchasing it (and subsequently having to hire them back because they were doing such irreplaceable jobs as MANAGING THE US NUCLEAR ARMS STOCKPILE, which again mirrors his having to rehire systems engineers at twitter) the 6 highschool computer programmers on his staff have sent out an email through the federal Office of Personnel Management, directing all federal employees to respond to the email with a five-bulletpoint summary of their duties or be fired immediately.

Well, children's book author-turned FBI director, Kash Patel has directed his staff at the FBI to ignore the email and not respond to anything Elon is telling them to do.
https://www.the-independent.com/news/world/americas/us-politics/musk-doge-email-federal-workers-b2703006.html

But maybe Elon's vice president, Annoying Orange will step in to keep Kash in line.

After Elon helped Annoying Orange with those pesky voting machines in PA, he certainly owes a few favors and was quick to overlook Elon's kid on live TV telling Annoying Orange to "shush his mouth" and that "he shouldnt be sitting in that chair, he isn't the president." Instead saying that its just liberal media trying to tear their loving relationship apart.

In other news, Eggs are now $11 per dozen.

After Elon helped Annoying Orange with those pesky voting machines in PA, ...
if we assume elon did tamper with the voting machines, do you think Annoying Orange would have lost otherwise? like which states did he potentially have control of

to me it seems like even if he did Annoying Orange would have won, but i'm curious if you know

Im not saying anything about the results of other states. I am just using the words that came out of his own mouth at his pre-inauguration rally where he said elon being good with computers and familiar with the ballot machines was why he won PA.
https://forum.blockland.us/index.php?topic=328434.msg10086507#msg10086507

I am sure that elon spending a quarter of a billion dollars to fund the republican campaign certainly didn't hurt though,( which after he blew $44b on his failed twitter purchase, buying a seat in the administration where he can oversee the regulations and contracts with his companies and his competitors for only $250m is quite a bargain)

Well, well, well. Looks like the games resume again.

How are the egg prices doing?

Oof, there's trouble in paradise as the unelected bereaucrat conducts payment freezes and mass layoff of goverment employees, leaving other member's of Annoying Orange's cabinet unable to do their jobs.
https://www.nytimes.com/2025/03/07/us/politics/Annoying Orange-musk-doge-power.html

Considering President Musk's cabinet meeting a few weeks ago where VP Annoying Orange asked everyone if they had a problem with Elon, before letting Elon run the whole meeting, it is unlikely Rubio and the others will really have any way to prevent Musk from rendering their roles irrelevant.

The mass layoffs affected the FAA preceding multiple in-air collisions for the first time in decades, and numerous other crashes, as well as the firing of Nuclear Arms personel, and the NOAA weather center staff ahead of tornado season (two devastating tornados hit Texas just these last few days with absolutely no alerts issued to residents in the affected areas), the gutting of the CDC and halting of any reports as we are experiencing an unprecedented outbreak of Bird Flu as well as a resurgence of Measels. To name just a few.

Price of eggs still hovering around the $10 mark for a dozen, gas still at around $4.70.
Wonder when those prices are gonna drop?
Good thing we are starting a trade war with Canada so we wont be able to afford lumber anymore.

lmao where are you living that your gas is still that expensive

It's like 2.39 for regular for me, and eggs where I'm at is not even remotely over 10 bucks?

Are you echo chambering or is this actually your situation.

when talking about x prices being high, its usually via national average. theres often massive variations depending on the state due to supply/demand and logistics, but overall the average is a good way to track if it's more expensive compared to before.

california for example consistently has some of the highest gas prices in the nation, and i remember personally seen it peak at $7/gal, with an average of $5 over the past decade. meanwhile in fl gas is $3/gal or so.

Lol cali got that bad RNG

vegas has been around $4/gal for like 10 years
