A Republican governor lying to the public in order to appease his mob boss of a president?
Never happened before.
Not once.
slavery was a thing for a long time, even before america was founded, and not always specific to a group of people of a particular race. but just to throw this out there, white people were slaves too in the past. that doesn't give me the right to act like a victim of a hate crime or accuse people of racism / classism simply because my ancestors went through some terrible stuff.
Ok, so, there's this wonderful thing called context. I live (and presumably you) in America. In this country, specifically, we held a certain skin color of people as property and then disenfranchised them even after we set them "free." That history directly shapes the social, political, and economic systems we live in today.
Pointing out that "white people were slaves once too" is dodging the unique, generational reality of anti-Black racism in the US. White ethnic groups historically faced hardship, sure, but they weren't systematically barred from voting, redlined out of neighborhoods, mass-incarcerated, or targeted by Jim Crow laws. Context matters, and pretending it doesn't is just a way to minimize the oppression that actually built this country.
these absolute freaks are biologically incapable of not continuing to alienate everyone from both their immediate families, social structures, and their degenerate movement as a whole
Annnnnnd there's that national socialist stuff you gotta love. You know for trying to imply that your party isn't the tribal, bigoted, small minded, gutter trash white supremacists you all pretend not to be, you're sure fine saying the quiet parts out loud a lot more these days. Hubris is inevitable now.
