I'll probably fix a few more bugs and release again at the end of the work day tomorrow.
I'm just going to wait till he is done with his bug fixing spree before I download again...

Yeah, that was yesterdays news.

Anyways, I learned all about the worldgen parameters but I don't know what I want to make, if anyone wants something in particular I might do some requests.

I think this thread needed a healthy bump.

Also, while I was digging a shaft downwards to start some exploratory mining, I hit the motherload.

I've barely gotten the layout of the fort finished, still first year mid summer with 7 dwarves, and I hit loving adamantine. I'm pretty stoked but now I have no idea what to do with it. I know from past experience that mining into it right now would be Self Delete, as well as a waste since my miners aren't producing 1 ore per mined square all the time.

Still, god damn adamantine, awesome.

Edit: Ok what the hell, I've hit something like 5 veins of adamantine in a row. My stair shaft is choked up with adamantine.

I hate graphic packs.

Me too, once you get used to the normal one, the game looks so much cleaner.

I tried playing DF without the pack when the current version came out and overwrote it. I missed the pack though so I coded it back in.

Also, the caravan came and was ambushed by trogolytes (Hahaha) and the two wagons were demolished leaving behind a mountain of merchant stuff. The merchants fled off into the distance safely, since you know trogolytes don't put up much of a fight or anything. I also found an underground river that ends in a waterfall down a chasm.

Now I just need to find that volcano shaft. I keep forgetting where these things are after I embark.

Ok, you've hit a motherload spot.  Just be careful for *secret fun stuff*

I wonder if an elaborate drowning trap could deal with that stuff...

Then again, I'd rather just train up an elite team of legendaries to deal with it.

You know, the reveal.exe makes all the demons fall into a non-existant chasm for some reason, and Adamantine veins like going up Z layers for some reason.

Most demons can breath underwater, and some can go in lava.

All around, they're quite fun.

You'd be better off with a ballista at every layer in case the demons attack, in which case, the ballista arrow will kill them instantly, along with anything else in it's path, including miners, cats and perhaps even vermin.

I found what I thought was a near perfect place, it wasn't in the mountains, but it had sand, flux, and a magma pipe, I prepared carefully, and set off for a new adventure.  My dwarfs were strong in heart, and they quickly made it to their location and were ready to strike earth.  After quickly looking around, it was discovered that there were a mere 4 fire imps and one fire man inside the volcano, so all was amused safe.  Then they noticed something swimming in the water.  After looking down into the water, my adventurous dwarfs noticed something not so nice about the area. Carp.  I guess I have to spend more time looking for an ideal location...

Just be really careful until you get some crossbows. I have no problem killing carp with ranged weapons.

Eh, I'm just going to try to find a better area.
