Sandbox.

Sure, Dwarf Fortress is a sandbox game in itself, but SANDBOXING a SANDBOX game just makes it that much better.

Or worse, depending on the game.

No worries, Dwarf Fortress isn't that kind of game, GTA probably would be.

And a succession game especially is not a sandbox.

I'd rather not have hacks, they seriously undermine a game's fun aspect. Sure it's great for about 10 minutes, but when everything is at your disposal and nothing's a challenge anymore the game gets very old fast.
