You probably did one of the following to get it stolen:

Told your Brother/sister or friends your password.

Downloaded research while in-game.

Bought gold.

Bought power leveling.

Went to a site that claimed it could show how you could level faster or get gold faster. Some try to charge you money, others offer it for "free". Both cases lead into them knowing who's account to hack. All you have to do is visit the site.

Received a fake email and clicked links provided in it.

Were unlucky enough to get a keylogger on your computer. Usually a result of falling for one of the above traps.



These are all traps to getting your account stolen. It's very unlikely you got it stolen by pure unlucky chance.

Treat your account like credit card information, and it will most likely never get stolen.

Well, it doesn't matter. If you do any of the things I listed, it will be why you lose your account.

Doesn't matter that it was months ago, or that it was on a different computer. It's also possible that it just took that long for this to happen.

Or, you can just not be giving us all the information. Only you know the truth, but I assure you, that it is highly unlikely to lose ones account unless the attacker actually KNOWS who to attack.

I told my friends, one said his uncle got his pally jacked at level 10. A month later, he got his account back with 200gp and 15 more levels.

It's against the policy of the game as far as I can tell, and they can end your account for doing these actions.
