If I add too many trees then it will lag. This map is being tuned for zombie games, so I want it as lag-free as possible. And there is a parachute add-on lol.

Awesome! I'm gonna find that and the trees aren't a big problem so I don't care a bunch about trees.

When does Just Cause 2 come out? I'm also looking forward to it lol. I wish they kept the old vibrant graphics though.
Really, your friends bought Blockland just for NYC??
I think they will release it in the autumn. Which is great, cause the autumn sucks. :P
Anyway, yes, he thought it looked awesome. I suppose Blockland itself helped a little, though.

I really wish I could make it too, but I would need help making it. Would you be willing to learn map making and help me with it? If not, I already made a small version of San Fransisco in my GSF San Andreas map.

I would be willing to learn how to make maps.  If you want me thats great, but if you don't thats ok.  My in-game name is bithead9, so if you can please contact me if you want me to help or not.

                                                                  Thankyou.

Great effort on the maps don't get me wrong, but I'm not a fan of the textures in these.
How should I improve them? Is it the colors or the lack of detail?

That map reminds me of a toony farcry.
Should it be toony or realistic?

I just said that to see if he really wanted the map lol, which it turns out he didn't. If you are serious about map-making though then try learning Torque Constructor, which is a lot easier to learn than the program I use.

Something makes me think that your making more Maps.... (Hence locked poll)

What is the program you use? After I learn (if I do learn) I could try to learn yours.

Well I was serious about wanting that map but well, I actually visited San Francisco and realized that it was just too complex to make, so many streets, the architecture, everything.

PS WHere's the torque constructor? I only tried the little Mission Editor

Keep the toony I like it :D

Hey, GSF can you tell me gow to make ground on a map? Or do you put it there after its done?

You should be able to spawn terrain in F11, but that doesn't work for me for some reason. Try copying a .ter file from another map, and then copy the segment of terrain code from that map's mission file into your map. I don't recommend stealing, but this is the best way to learn in my opinion. Let me know if you need me to elaborate.

lol okay.

It's a separate program. Try Googling Torque Constructor and then download the program (which is free) to your computer.

I use QuArK, but ever since I started on my Vice City map a couple years ago I have had so many problems with the program. I have had deleted faces on walls (like in NYC), texture problems, polygons don't align after they are compiled, and sometimes it doesn't compile the maps at all. I wouldn't recommend it.

Yeah just a few more due to the response I got when I said I was going to quit map-making. I'm not sure what my other projects will be though.

Please don't call me a god, but I'm glad you like my maps, thanks :)
It's been awhile because I'm trying to finish some new maps before I quit map making. As of right now I'm working on a tropical zombie map and I'm thinking of making an apocalyptic city such as the one in Left 4 Dead - No Mercy.

Update: The terrain, grass texture, sun flare, and terrain textures have been changed for the tropical map. I also added a volcano with a working smoke emitter than can be seen from far away; here's a pic:

Amazing, I mean, just incredible. Looks awesome :cookieMonster:

I demand a City in the Sky...
Or a new Waterfall Map. The RTB one was Epic.
