I wish there where some decent reference images to figure out how that goddamn tail is mounted.

But I was poking around the BI Wiki and found this, so I was able to get the references I needed.

You could have did it In blender by putting keyframes on the materials transparency

So many good models, so little of them actually used! =/

I don't know how to use Blender well enough to do that.

First press (I) on the alpha slider so that you set a keyframe then, just like how you would animate a box or something move to frame 5 or so then adjust the slider to 0 so that its fully transparent.
