I just got the dts exporters after re installing my computer and they overwrite my other exporters and give a python eroor. It says I have python 2.6 correctly installed.
I found out the problem, and this goes for many others who have python errors. You have to get a vista admin account. Without this it gives you permission errors in the blender console.

Read about texturing in the topic, its #6.

I have the newer version of blender, it's completely different, and #6 isn't compatible with it.
Blender V 2.49

Your guide has literally been my modeling bible for the past few months.

There are lots of things that can make it crash. I'm guessing it's something in the script though, make sure your directories and names match up.
