We'll be looking forward on your application. Yes! We're even closer now. 182nd post and we only have to reach 1485!

Does anyone have a recent save file of the Mall? After yesterdays events, I've lost all my saves.

Never mind, luckily as each version progressed, I have multiple Blockland files. I have the save.

Well since no one cares to see the planning of the mall, and people are lacking to amount of interest. The Mall clan build is being discontinued. Next time when we're deciding on our next build, make sure you are going to help 100% and really commit yourself to it.

Bump for thread love.

How nice of you. Greek and I have been thinking, and we want to know if Greepalis can be made into a clan build? A community Build. What are your thoughts on that, med?

Sure, whatever. Go nuts. I'm taking a break from building right now anyways. Builder's block.

Alright great. This clan build will be a Community Build. Anyone can help, but their building can and might be destroyed for a clan member's building. This clan build is a City with three sections. A Downtown-ish part; Hilly mansion/large houses section in the center; and a Suburban area. Hopefully, with the upcoming photo of the model you'll be able to figure out which part is which.

Whenever there is a server up, you may not build your building/house/etc. on the build itself. You must first build it off to the side, then we can fit it in somewhere. The city name is Greepalis, for Greekgeeker and MeddlePAL; This was there initial build idea, and I think it should stay as Greepalis.

Overview of the Model:
The straight arrow text says "Underground Tunnel" ; The curved arrow text says "Winded Road"

Downtown Area of the Model:

Suburb Area of the Model:

I can host this most likely every day; Depending on whether or not I have plans. I am not able to host a dedicated because my ports close every so often. The server will be up tomorrow in the morning, and hopefully up for the day. For the most part, I'll be afk on it.

I would work primarily on the two major parts the city and suburb area first. The "Hollywood-esque" hill is interesting, but it can be covered with trees and not effect the overall quality of the build if the brick cap gets approached. But having big empty open areas in the city or burbs besides parkland would look awkward.

When I first started thinking about this I was also planning to build an elaborate underground subway/sewer/utliity system to explore, also a potential cut feature because of the brick limit.

Another logistics post:

Roads are going to also chew through bricks, which is why I would seek alternatives to custom roads in all possible situations. Good looking custom roads usually eat up 10,000 to 20,000 bricks for a single intersection and 3 or 4 or base plates worth of road each direction (if using smooth top bricks).

The road up the hill itself I can envision using 20k bricks or so, which is totally not worth it.

For the roads I have an Idea what we can do. There will be absolutely no print bricks used for road designs. That would be un-bearable for me and my pile of stuff I call a computer. I haven't been using printed roads since around V8; It's a good habit to get out of :). There's a few things we can do; A. Use the default roads and add 8x16s on the sides for sidewalks (Mainly good for a Blockland Styled City); As large of plates we can fit, then add in 1x16 the white/yellow street lines (My choice);

We'll get the major part of the city done first since Greek has already started on a building in that area (The different coloured building in the model). Also, because I feel it is the main attraction (Please Veto this is you feel otherwise).

Meddle, is it possible for you to throw up a dedicated, or maybe even just regularly host once in a while?

Yes, but the duplicator is totally broken. If you can find someone who has a fix for this problem here, then I wouldn't mind putting it back up.

Want me to send you a copy of my duplicator file? That may possibly fix it. Although, I do not know if the same problem occurs on dedicateds. I have not hosted one for quite some time.
