I'm making a texture pack that's going to use a lot of painterly, some of the original stuff, and some other stuff from elsewhere. I probably won't release it though, considering I don't want to cause any trouble with copyrights and stuff.
Anyway, can anyone point me in the direction of some good 16x textures to include?

It's hard as stuff to draw all those textures. I made a two already and it sucks having to update every time there's something new. If you have a bone to pick about texture packs, you try making one and then releasing to the general public.

I thought this pack I'm compiling would be mostly painterly but it might turn out to be mostly norsecraft. Norsecraft for the most part keeps the original style of the game, with a few exceptions, and makes it better.

what i don't like is SUPER REALISTIC TEXTUREPACKS!!! that try and fail terribly to make minecraft look realistic. It's just ugly and doesn't fit the style minecraft is supposed to have. Norsecraft is kind of inbetween good and bad but I'd say it's more good than bad.
