If it does have equal exchange, you could just exchange 2k cobblestone from a recent mine in to like 300 coal, and then power your next quarry until it gets to bedrock. Then repeat 2.42^100000000000 until you have mined out the entire map.

thirst mod, mo' creatures, battle craft, ect. fun stuff.

Thirst mod sounds meh and so does battle craft, but Mo' Creatures sounds good.


I'm looking for any mods that just add to the game.  Not make the game easier, just add something new, interesting, or give the game a bit more depth.

SMP capable preferred but not necessary.  Also, what's the name of that thingy you cool kids use to manage multiple modded jar files?  MagicLauncher?

Equal Exchange makes it so you need like 800 cobblestone to get a diamond or something, and I don't know if Technic/Tekkit even has it...

With a couple of hours spent in Equivalent Exchange, you can easily make a machine which produces a diamond every 10 seconds or so.

I like only the empty generated structures of those, not the actual villages.  I might give that a go and edit it so it only generates the empty structures.

Still requires huge investment of diamonds to create dark matter though.
1 dark matter needs a diamond block and 8 aeternist fuel which requires a bazillion coal each.
Let alone red matter or armor of any of he 2. (dark matter armor for a dual survival server, so both of the players, requires 432 diamonds)

Also I find these mods to add to the game rather then change it. You still have to find your first diamonds before you can do anything atall really.

I stopped playing with Equivalent Exchange because I realized that I'd just been poking around at level 12 with my Divining Rod and Destruction Catalyst for several days in a row in order to get the top-tier items, and then what the forget was I going to do when I finally did? The concept of the mod is good but the execution is poor

I'll end up playing for about 2 hours to try all the new features and then not touch the game again until the next update

That's the big drag about Minecraft, I love the game but the updates are so few and far between and don't add a significant amount of new content

Minecraft 1.3.1 has been released. If fixes a problem with the obfuscation which made it more difficult for modders to update and such. He changed the link in the 1.3 blog: http://www.mojang.com/2012/07/the-weekly-chunk-minecraft-1-3-prerelease/

i wonder if a plugin exists where, if youre killed by a person in a certain group, your dropped items or only certain ones automatically teleport to a chest somewhere
