Minecraft Megathread; yeah its update 1.12 big whoop what about it

I'm making a short puzzle map for my friend and I need some good riddles and tricks because I'm running out of ideas.

Things that I've already included:
-Getting flint and steel from a gravel block
-Hiding a chest behind fire
-Hiding chests
-making a block out of four bricks
-converting a log to four blocks, making a bridge

I need something new, but similar to that. I need things that make you think for a moment.

Single player is flat and wears out quick, if you want it to be a deep, enjoyable experience you need to play with friends on a server.

it's not that bad, still very playable depending on who's hosting the server.

would anyone be interested in joining a server, that's like ftb or tekkit, but slightly more stable, and with more mods that aren't just tech mods?

which is why i said play with friends. Playing on large servers is almost never fun, the only time i've ever had fun on a large server was back in 1.6 when i played in the shaftlands server, and that was only because everyone on the server had a similar interest.

well any game is more fun with friends. that doesn't make minecraft any better of a game. the gameplay itself doesn't suddenly shine when you play with friends.

neither does blocklands, but we still play that.

tekkit server with enough grief prevention to keep out genghis khan, but once you get in, it's a very good community. all the members are player-voted on acceptance or not, so you've got a better chance of getting in if you know someone. be aware some of your favorite griefing items are disabled.
